I really like how this book has divided the information within into different areas from which you can pick and choose. This means if I'm more interested in brain health and better skin, I'll look at that information sections first.

Better yet are the easy living tips on how to apply the information to our lives. Using the easy living tips should make it much easier to do a step by step integration into how we live each day. Adding just one technique a week would greatly improve our health. Being anti aging is just an added benefit to many of these techniques.

Love the skincare recipes and the added smoothie recipes are nice too.

For those of us "of a certain age", Sandra Douglas' book about slowing the signs of aging is terrific. The author discusses a number of things we can do to help us look and feel younger. She covers the key areas in any anti-aging discussion - attitude, memory, skin care, diet and nutrition, exercise, etc.

I liked the section on memory enhancement. The author discusses strategies to improve memory, and she even lists online websites with brain games.

I found the chapter on drinking water to be particularly informative. I had no idea you should drink half your body weight in water every day. Sandra also discusses other important things about water, such as the times of day it's essential to drink it.

I highly recommend this book for anyone who's looking for practical suggestions on slowing the aging process.

All of us know people that are prematurely old. Whether that be in appearance or in their mindset. This book is a motivating guide that details a number of different strategies to keep you physically and mentally youthful.

Broken down by type they broadly include:

Tips to improve the appearance of your skin.
Tips for general health (+ a few recipes)
Tips to detox your body and eat better.
Exercise and physical activities
Relaxation and meditation.
Social engagement and mental activities.

Whilst this guide is incredibly practical it is actually quite motivating as when you read over each section you think to yourself "that is easy, I can do this" so it actually worked as a a nice pick me up late in the afternoon and a reminder of easy traps that you need to avoid to continue staying young. There is a beauty in simplicity and I think this book really nailed that.

Overall it was a highly enjoyable read and one that you can pass on to your parents (and friends that are aging before their time!)

Life style changes are not too difficult to make. Don't try to implement them all at once. Try just one change per day, week or bi-weekly. Anti-aging remedies are also useful.
