Editorial Reviews

About the Author

Born in and raised in Munich, Germany, Andreas Troeger has been living in New York City since 1992 when he was awarded a DAAD scholarship to study film at the NYU Film School. He has edited over 600 Broadcast TV shows, realized over 10 independent films, documentaries and created numerous internationally shown video installations - many of them in association with Nam June Paik. Intrigued by the avant-garde he collaborated early in his carrier with performers (Alexeij Sagerer, Lennie Johnson, Minimal Club, choreographers (Angela Dauber, Elke Rindfleisch, Rachel Cohen), video artists (Silvia Kirchhof, Paul Garrin, Nam June Paik) and filmmakers (Iara Lee, Nick Zedd) alike. "The 'Out of The Ordinary' is an element in almost all of his works. He provokes the viewer on a visual and acoustical level. As a virtuoso of camera, sound and editing techniques, Troeger exploits his media in every conceivable manner." (Eva Kuttenberg Ph.D.) He graduated from the Film Academy in Munich and studied film production at NYU. Previously educated in computer technology he became involved in many cyber space projects as the Internet evolved. Currently he works for New York Broadcast Television and creates documentaries, fashion videos, promotionals and avant-garde films.

5.0 out of 5 stars From A to Z A Tell All of a Kinky Sex Fiend Filmmaker in New York City, December 11, 2007
By
This review is from: Anti Biography (Paperback)
If you want to read what its like for a German filmmaker to travel the world as a speaker at Film conventions, have sex with the adoring attendees, come to New York City, have kinky sex with everybody from the underground to high end contemporary art and film worlds, this book is for you. Not a page goes by without a juicy sexual exploit told in graphic emotional and physical detail. People in the New York film scene might also want to read this for some industry who slept with who gossip. I doubt those in the book knew he would be writing about them in such tell all detail...at least his future lovers will be aware for the second edition. A fast paced entertaining read that is also a great historical portrait of life in the New York City underground from the 80's to now.
