This review is from: The Anti-Christ`s Lewd Hat: Protestants, Papists and Players in Post-Reformation England (Hardcover)
Engaging and thoughtful, a fascinating look at post-reformation England and the means by which a common discourse was used by different groups for different purposes. The author provides reflections on much more in the 700+ pages; all are worth reading. Highly recommended for anyone interested in vital, often ignored, dynamics in the the birthing of the modern world.
