Retains microwave heat well; a bit heavy and shifty,
By I had a buckwheat pillow before. The buckwheat is quite a bit lighter weight, but it doesn't retain heat as well. This flax seed pillow also allows the stuffing to shift around quite a lot so it can go flat in the back of your neck and heavy at the ends of the "u" shape when you're sitting up. So if you want light weight, get the buckwheat. If you want good lasting heat, get this. I do wish they'd used a darker colored cover.

Being one of those unfortunate few with back and neck problems, I have always longed for a product such as this that conforms to your body unlike traditional heating pads and can be heated or frozen. It's has worked wonders for my neck and shoulder area and am considering wearing it in the car, in the office, on the plane, etc. I'm very pleased with the product, the super fast shipping and it even has a wonderful lavendar smell to it that is quite soothing when the neck muscles get super tense and tight. I would highly recommend this product to anyone suffering from chronic neck and shoulder pain.

This product is not light weight. Its not supposed to be. As a massage therapist I see people everyday with tight, sore Trap muscles(back of neck/shoulder), either from working the muscles or from carrying stress. Heat this item and sit with it on your shoulders, shifting more of the weight of the item towards TOP/BACK of shoulders. If it feels too heavy then most of the weight is probably in the wrong place. I love this item and use it on myself and my clients and I just purchased more! thank you
