The program slows down the system even more so than norton does and that is saying something. There are viruses and spyware this program cannot detect. I am not using AVG which I have used for some time, (thinking I could get something more if I pay for it), I get more from AVG for free than what I did with this program that I did pay for. Since I got this program off my computer it has run faster and does not have the problems I had when I had it on there. This program was a nightmare. Please save your money and do not buy this awful program. I would even go with norton or MacAfee if you HAVE to pay for the service. I use AVG and I am very pleased with it.

Not sure whats worse - the cure or the disease. This product really slooows down the computer, both desktop and laptop.

CA makes pretty decent anti-virus software, but they blew it on this version. A big mistake. When I installed it, it performed good for several days, but this 2009 version has a lot of mistakes and bugs. This software doesn't update signatures correctly, I had problems getting it to update, and sometimes it wouldn't update at all. It was very slow in downloading the signatures, and sometimes it took up to 8 hours to update. The update feature is defective in this version of CA anti-virus. Don't buy this version, because you will be asking for trouble and frustration. Stick with CA 2008, or 2010 when it comes out.

I bought three disc for three different computer's and all the disc installed differently. On one XP computer it was flawless. On another XP computer it only gave me the option to install Anti-Virus. The third disc installed on Vista would not install the anti- virus or the spyware. I contacted CA over the problem and they told me to uninstall and reinstall, that didn't help. I finally gave up after 5 times trying and bought Norton Anti-Virus 2009 with Spyware and at last IM finally up and surfing the internet again. For whatever reason Vista owner's beware of the 2009 version of this product as you may encounter issues installing.
