5.0 out of 5 stars An Absolute Must for Front-Loading Washers (especially on 2nd floors)
Anyone who has one of the new front-loading washing machines installed on a second story knows how awful it is. The spin cycle shakes the whole house. Pictures rattle on the walls, the windows actually bow and it honestly sounds like a helicopter hovering over the house (I swear, that's not an exaggeration). It actually caused a shelf of my china hutch to collapse...

3.0 out of 5 stars It definitely helps the vibration.
This product definitely helps with the vibration of your washer dryer but it is worth noting that the product should be $10 cheaper and the customer service is terrible if you receive an order which is broken. amazon took care of my problems.

But wow! These Silent Feet are abolutely great! The best $80 (2 sets) I have spent in a while. The noise is almost completely gone. Same with the vibration. Still a little of both but dramatically improved.

A little challenging placing them under the back feet. They won't slide under the weight of the machine. Our solution: push the machine back, have one person tip it forward and use a stick to slide the Silent Feet into place.

The installers told me they had never seen a front-loading washer run so silently and still. They actually took the Silent Feet packaging with them to recommend them to customers.

5.0 out of 5 stars A MUST for Walking Washing Machines, June 20, 2010

This review is from: Anti-walk Silent Feet - Anti-vibration Pads for Washing Machines and Dryers
I have an LG washing machine and it walks during the spin cycle. It was VERY annoying to reposition the washing machine after every wash. The vibration was loud enough to feel and hear one floor away. That is until I purchased this Anti-Walk Silent Feet from Vibration Solution. They work absolutely GREAT!!!!!!!!!! My washing machine does not even move a millimeter from where is it placed no matter how unbalanced the load is. Phenomenal. Here are my recommendations and how I installed them by myself.

1. I got the RED BOX of vibration pads, not the green box.
2. I got a good mental image on where the feet of the appliance are in relationship to the outside body of the appliance. Most of the time the feet are not visible when you look down from the top of the appliance.
3. I positioned the washing machine to where I wanted it.
4. I tilted the washing machine forward and dropped two of the vibration pads on the floor to where the rear feet would be when the appliance is on the floor. I used the end of a broom to move the pads into the right position. This is the most time consuming and tedious part of the process so be patient.
5. I lowered the washing machine back down on the floor and tilted it backwards.
6. I dropped the front two pads on the floor and positioned them to where the front feet would rest.
7. Lowering the washing machine, I was done.

These pads are made out of two kinds of plastic. The top layer (half the total thickness) is hard and this is where the feet rest. The bottom layer is softer and does most of the absorption of the vibration. It sticks to vinyl flooring so it helps to prevent walking but more importantly it absorbs most of the vibrations. I touched this layer as my washing machine was in the spin cycle and I felt the tremendous amount of vibration this layer absorbed but didsn't conduct to the floor.

Now I do not hear or feel on another floor when the washing machine is on a spin cycle. The feet are on the pricey side but what they do to eliminate the walking, they are very much a worthwhile investment.. This is a solid 5 star product

PROS: I was doubtful these pads would work. In fact, while they do not eliminate vibration completely, they do reduce it substantially. Our second-floor Miele washer used to rattle the windows on the other side of the house; now you only feel a slight vibration in the room in which the washer sits.

CONS: $40 dollars feels over-priced.

5.0 out of 5 stars It WORKS, April 7, 2010

I got a Kenmore front loading washer a couple years ago and have been battling vibration walking ever since. We found a couple things helped, but nothing that actually stopped it. Until this product. It was a bit pricey at 5% of the cost of the machine, but I was sooo tired of running down to the basement to hold the machine so it wouldn't pull the hoses off the wall. These don't stop the noise when it is spinning, but the machine hasn't moved an inch since we installed them a few weeks ago. And I purposely ran the worst offenders - throw rugs and towels.

5.0 out of 5 stars Anti Walk Silent Feet, March 7, 2010

I was skeptical at spending this amount of money for feet for my washer. However, we had just installed a new travertine floor and I didn'w want to do any damage to it from the washer walking as it always has done. Considering the cost of the floor, $40 was a small price to pay to see if I could solve the problem. Well, to say the least, these things are worth every penny. My washer has not moved AT ALL since installing them. I have had a couple of spin cycles that were way out of balance and the washer stayed put. Highly recommended if you have this problem.

OK, OK, OK. After reading the reviews I was a little skeptical about this product--mostly because I feel that my washer and dryer have already cost me enough money. After a year of being on my knees with my lovely front loader, which is on the second story of my home, I broke down and finally bought the pedestal bases. Then the shaking had gotten so much worse that I thought to myself how could I invest all this money and be so unhappy. The whole house would shake through the spin cycle. I could hear the dishes and glasses in my kitchen cabinets vibrating. It was horrible. Then, once we had unexpected company during one of these episodes and I was embarrassed about the noise level. So, this was the last of the money I was willing to spend. I don't begrudge the price, just that I should not have had to buy this product at all. That said, it worked like a charm. The noise level and walking has stopped, not completely mind you, but at an acceptable level. I should not have waited so long. Definitely worth the money.

4.0 out of 5 stars Mostly does what it claims to do, November 7, 2010

This review is from: Anti-walk Silent Feet - Anti-vibration Pads for Washing Machines and Dryers
Like many people, I purchased a front-loading washing machine that was destined to sit in a mudroom, on top of good old fashion joist and plywood flooring. This seems to be a generic problem for front-loading machines, as they forcibly move the clothes and water around in a circular motion that causes a 'waving' action by the floor underneath - resulting in a washer that at best rocks and rattles loudly as it washes, and at worse literally begins to crawl and walk along the floor. I've tried leveling the washer myself and even finally hired a professional to adjust and level the machine, all to no avail. In desperation I purchased these anti-walk feet (the red packaging, not the green ones) and put them under all four feet of my washing machine. Technically, I guess I put them under the four feet of my pedestal; in case anyone else is in the same situation as I am, I should mention I bought the optional pedestal for my washing machine (Whirlpool Duet). This was the first weekend we've done wash since putting the feet in place, and it has made a major different. The washing machine itself has not budged from where it started, and while the rocking and vibrations can still be felt and heard in the next room, it is much MUCH better than it was. Hopefully they will continue to perform like this in the coming weeks and months, but even though these suckers are fairly expensive I think they were well worth the price in my situation.

I tried the Home Depot rubber pads and got some improvement, but the noise was still too loud. Silent Feet has cured my vibration problem. The drier was always OK, but the washer sounded like a jet taking off and the vibration was terrible. The washer is still a little noisy (Silent Feet doesn't fix that problem), but the terrible vibration has been greatly minimized. Pricey, but I recommend the product.

Great product I had previously order a set of black Silent Feet for my machine at first I was skeptical about them I wasn't sure any pad would make the difference but these little guys do a great job at reducing the noise caused by washing machine vibration. I ordered the blue set for me to add a little color and the others for some friends, Thanks a lot product works great keep up the good work
