I bought this serum based on the reviews and also the fact that it had 1% retinol in it. I used the prescription Retin-A before but it was expensive and it made my face extremely oily. So, I didn't want to go that route again. I started to get severe adult acne at the end of 2010 and the beginning of this year. As each bump dried out, it left a dark brown mark on my skin. It was terrible and there were MANY dark spots along my cheeks and my chin - at least 20 or so. So, I decided to give this a shot.

The first time I used it was at night. I was a little skeptical about its effectiveness because the product felt a little watery when I applied it to my skin. But, the next morning I noticed that my skin was very, very smooth and soft. And throughout the day, my T-zone wasn't oily at all. Also, two of my more recent bumps had started to decrease in size. I've used this serum twice a day since I bought it in January 2011. I didn't notice any peeling during this time. My outbreaks are pretty much non-existent now. I only broke out once during that "special time" for women and even then it was just one tiny bump that went away as quickly as it came. The texture of my skin is completely smooth so I no longer have any raised skin from the bumps nor do I feel them "hiding" underneath my skin.

As for the dark spots, they have lightened nicely. Many of them have disappeared already. They are not completely gone yet, but I don't have to use as much concealer as I was using in January. Even my husband noticed that my spots were lighter when I'm not wearing any makeup. I just reordered my second bottle and decided to give a review since it seems like there aren't too many reviews for this product. I hope this helps someone else who may be having skin issues. This serum really works if you have acne or hyperpigmentation or you just want even-toned baby-soft skin. I don't have wrinkles so I can't comment on how effective the product is for that issue. I have a beach vacation planned this summer and I'm confident that this product will clear my marks up by then. My goal is to not have to wear concealer or even foundation. As an anti wrinkle junkie(who has tried tons of stuff) I dont give praise easily! But this serum really is fantasic stuff! First off it has an amazing amount of retinol in it(the first ingredient listed) and as we all know, retinol is one of the few things that work. Its also packed with other great things for the skin, although once opened vitamin c doesnt stay potent(one way to make it last longer is keeping it in a cool dark place)I would recommend this to anyone who is serious about good skin but doesn't want to spend an unnecessary fortune paying for big names. Im not saying it will act like botox or fillers(that would be a misleading lie! and I realise every one gets a different result with skincare) but after 3 weeks I did see results and even got comments about my skin looking great.

Love this serum it reduced my pores and my face feels so much softer and the dark spots have lightened. Great stuff.
