2.0 out of 5 stars Confusing and Far Stretching, June 25, 2001
By
This review is from: The Antichrist 666, Book 1 (Paperback)
I actually liked this book but found it somewhat inferior to other books on the subject. This author points out the sad truth that the churches are satanic, something I learned from an author named Canyon Adams and didn't believe at first but researched it myself and found it to be true. There is limitation of this book, though, because...well, for example, this author talks about how paganism slipped into Christianity but he has it a little out of whack. What actually happened is that paganism BECAME Christianity, and all the practicing high priests and emperors of paganism and the Babylonian Mystery Religion simply took the idol worship of paganism and repackaged it. And this author misses the point about 666. It is not something we will have on our hands and heads. It is the mark of the Roman Empire, the beast dreadful and terrible, that will be in our hands (work) and our heads (thoughts) as we follow the pagan calendar and holy days set forth by the satanic church.

This author's book is fair. Period. There are better books on this subject out there and available. Read those too.

5.0 out of 5 stars Beware Its Coming-The Antichrist 666, March 8, 2000
By
Bishop Roosevelt Johnson (Philadelphia, PA 19140) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Antichrist 666, Book 1 (Paperback)
Beware It's Coming - The Antichrist 666 is the first of a set of five reference books. This volume will take you on an eye-opening, documented journey from the Tower of Babel dating from about the year 2200 B.C. up to the year A.D. 2000, and will let you see for yourself how Satan was/is worshipped by our ancient ancestors and by pagans today as the cosmic gods and goddesses of Mythology and Astrology. I know William Josiah Sutton personally. For nearly 30 years, he has been researching the origins of pagan religions and secret societies. Sutton is not only an expert in exposing cults and the occult, but he is also a Christ-centered Bible scholar. Back in 1983, Sutton was the first Christian journalist to expose the links between the New Age Movement, the New World Order, and the Illuminati. This volume will not only show you the origins of all pagan religions and the number 666, but also who is branded with this number of doom today! This volume will not only help both Roman Catholics and Protestants, as well, to see how Baal worship has infiltrated their churches, but it also zeros in on the hot issues over unconstitutional Sunday laws and the seventh-day Sabbath controversy! Get all five of Sutton's books! They may very well be the most up-to-date studies into the prophecies of Daniel and the Revelation you have ever read in your life!

2.0 out of 5 stars Religious fundamentalism at it's wretched worst, May 7, 2003
By
Achaean (Patras, Achaea, Greece) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Antichrist 666, Book 1 (Paperback)
This book is pub. by Teach Services Inc., a U.S. pub. firm, which also publishes books for the use of the faithful of the numerous American-born Christian sects, like 7th day Adventists, Evangelists, etc.

Quite frankly, this book has to be one of the most blatant historical forgeries of all time. The book contains so many inaccuracies and historical blunders, that one a after a certain point, begins to doubt that the author even made it beyond secondary school.

But, let the man speak for himself: QUOTE:"...still by the lowest of existing savages, the aboriginal tribes of Central Australia..."UNQUOTE (page 52, para. IV)

The scapegoat which stars in this book, is the Catholic Church, the Ancient Universal Christian Church ( i.e. the church before the schism), with Freemasonry and the Knights Templar curiously absent(Freemasonry is "dealt with" in the next book of the series). The cast of characters is completed, by all nations and religions which have existed under the sun for the last five thousand years, except the Jews and the Arabs. The above quotation, gives one a good idea of the author's mindset, and the manner in which he slanders and defames civilizations and peoples, and butchers history.

This book endeavors to explain the New Testament's Revelation, and to answer to the question of who or what is the beast, 666.

The author begins with what is a sad travesty of historical research, with many errors and misconceptions, seeking to convince the reader that all religions and nations except the Jews and the Arabs, had one common element in their civilizations and cultures: Satanism. Hindus, Chinese, Romans, Germans, Greeks, Nordics, Celts, Anglo-saxons, Egyptians, Aztecs, Mayans, Olmecs, Toltecs, you name it, it's there.

He then proceeds to denounce, the Holy Communion, Easter,
Baptism, and Christmas as pagan satanist customs. In the process, he uses sentences like this: "But Satan has made sin popular by using TV, movies, magazines, books and newspapers".

In the third chapter he explains the vision of Daniel the prophet, claiming that the four beasts of Daniel's vision, were actually four Satanic empires, namely & respectively, Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece, Rome.

In the fourth chapter, he "strikes home". He "reveals" that the name of the beast is TEITAN, which adds to 666 (misspelled Greek for TITAN). In order to support his theory, he further butchers mercilessly the Greek language, using latin transliterations of Greek words which thus transfigured, happen to add to 666. For instance, we Greeks learn that the words "the Latin kingdom" is not written "H LATINIKH BASILEIA" but in Sutton's Greek "H LATINE BASILEIA". From here onwards, paranoia and illiteracy runs rampant. Thus, "H ITALIKH EKKLHSIA" becomes "ITALIKA EKKLESIA", and "LATINOS" becomes "LATENINOS"& "LATEINOS", in order to fit the author's paranoid 666 scheme.

And yes you guessed it, the Catholic Church is the great horn of the beast, whom he calls "Mystery, Babalon the mother of harlots and abominations of the earth". He also shows a picture of Pope Paulo V being carried on a litter, and after informing us that his name also adds to 666, he likens the Popes with the Pharaohs of Egypt for being carried on a litter.

His final argument is, that the true mark of the beast is the world's observation of Sundays, and that all churches and people who observe Sundays automatically receive the mark of the beast, while, only Mr. Sutton and his sect, who observe the "Sabbaths of the Lord" are the true "Lord's" very own chosen Christians and by observing the Sabbath, they receive the mark of the Lord.

Now, like before, I will let the man speak for himself: QUOTE

READ AND WEEP:

On Charles Darwin & the evolution theory:
"The mouth of the earth shall open and swallow the flood of all false sciences that try to disprove the credibility of the bible"

On Greek Grammar:
"...the word "hell" in Greek meant originally "to punish"... (KOLASIS (hell) is a noun, while KOLAZO (to punish) is a verb.)

On the Ancient Germans:
"The Germans used to hang those defeated in battle from trees, thus the hanging of ornaments from Christmas Trees".

On Geography:
"...India means commonly Ethiopea, the land of Cush..."

On Greek Theology:
"..."Hermes" which is an Egyptian translation of "HAM", is the same person with Ham..."(He was looking for THOTH)

On the ANKH:
"...the Egyptians formed this from the letter -T-..."
(Thing is, the earliest form of the letter T was first used in Greece, ca. 900 B.C.; the Egyptians had their own hieroglyphic script which did not include Greek/Runic chracters.)

On Greek/Latin Godesses:
"...Artemis/Diana which is the same with Ishtar & Semiramis, demanded human sacrifices..." (He has never heard of the Iliad)

On Early Greek History:
"...Nimrod was the legendary hero Hercules and Gilgamesh..." (Problem is, Hercules is thought to have been an historical personage, a vassal of King Eurystheus of Mycenae , Mycenean himself, who lived ca. 1400 B.C.)

On the Anglo-Saxons:
"...the Anglo-Saxon God Zernebogus, whose name is pure Chaldee, is a Mesopotamian God, and his name means -THE SEED OF PROPHET CUSH-"

ON RACISM: "...still by the lowest of existing savages, the aboriginal tribes of Central Australia..."

Graciously, two stars, due to the fact that the book has so many quotations from the bible and the New Testament, and it must have taken him some time to put all that together.
