Editorial Reviews

Antik opens the gates to a dark and morbid musical universe, in which the German formation Nachtblut reigns. In a very short time, this extraordinary band has managed to earn a special cult status within the underground scene and now repays their fans with the perfect gift: the title track "Antik." The critical German lyrics center around both social and religious themes.

Format: Audio CD Verified Purchase
First self-released as a (very) limited edition CD in 2009 Nichtblut's second album was one of those incredible metal gemms that slipped through the cracks. Yet the nice people at Napalm Records rightfully decided this album deserved another chance at a wider audience and just reissued it on a superior scale. Damn good thing too- "Antik" canNOT be ignored! A killer fusion of "Thornography"-era CoF with "Rise Rise"/"Rossenrot"-era Rammstein.
But, although the Napalm version is more pletafull it too is a limited release. Do NOT make the mistake of missing out on this a second time!
The best reissue of 2011, along with Pandamonium's "Hole In the Sky" and the extended version of Sabbath's "Born Again".
