5.0 out of 5 stars Continuing education!, August 25, 2000
This review is from: The Antioxidants (Paperback)
We've come a long way from the 1,000 MG of Vitamin C that was heralded as the best thing for our bodies back in the late 1096s. Now scientists have isolated a number of antioxidants that are crucially beneficial to maintaining our good health. Nutritionists like Passwater are passing that information on to the public. Passwater's book is one of the best I've seen when it comes to explaining the body's need for these antioxidants that are too limited in foods to do us enough good. He is clear and concise. This is a good reference book to own.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Antioxidants, February 13, 2004
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: The Antioxidants (Paperback)
Passwater authoritatively explains what free radicals and reactive oxygen species are, and then explains how antioxidants can prevent cancer and a host of conditions allegedly associated with the aging process.

Passwater discusses impressive epidemiological data on Vitamins C and E and includes detailed discussions of what scientists have discovered, including through some of his own clinical research.

You will not be disappointed. Very highly recommended!
