I first discovered this wax when I watched Norm Abrams (New Yankee Workshop) interview a dealer in antique furniture. The dealer shared with Norm that he had been using this wax, applied with 0000 grade steel wool and then buffed, for years to restore furniture and still leave the original character. I've been using it for about 5 years and love it.

This product was used by the company that sold us our antique oak furniture in England. It is very lightweight and easy to apply. The fragrance is nice and not overly strong. I highly recommend it for fine wood furniture.

I have used this product on my furniture and antique furniture for years and found it to be the best wax available. It is easy to use and leaves a beautiful surface to any piece of furniture, whether new or antique. We used this on all the antique furniture at the Art Museum and talking to other curators over the years, found they too used it not only at their museums, but also for their personal furniture.

Used Goddards for years and found this product after a google search for wax to use on my antiques...American painted pine stacks and furniture. Wow, what a great result. I did not experience a build up problem with a thicker coating. Wood soaked up any extra and light buffing brought out the shine very nicely. I would like to try the brown tinted product next time to add some more depth and possible scratch repair. I would highly recommend this product.

I've been using Antiquwax for 30 years. I've tried others, but none is better. Use as directed and your furniture will be gorgeous and well protected.

Sure did spruce up my 22 yr old kitchen cabinets.
Thank you to the reviewer who advised applying the
paste wax with 0000 steel wool. It worked great. Smells clean
and nice with no petroleum fumes/odor.
I would buy it again even though it's expensive.

There were no directions on can. I would like to have known if wax was supposed to dry to a haze or if it was supposed to be put on and wiped off
immediately. No knowing how to use the wax would certainly have made a big difference in the end result. Also, should it be was be put on in a thin
layer or a little more. .
