I am 59 and have about 25 of these Dover Coloring books and really like all but 2 of them. (it is just a matter of what you like, though). When you buy these from Amazon, you get one free if you buy 3. I took the suggestion of several reviewers and bought a good set of colored pencils. I got regular and fine line. My daughter (also an adult) wanted to color some, too. I came up with the idea to copy them on my printer for her. Then I decided to copy all of them when I want to color. This way we can use the pictures over and over. It is nice to use a heavier printer paper. Be careful, we find it to be a very addicting past time!

Could have been better,

I would have like this a lot better if all of the doll depictions showed them in their entirety, from head to foot. But they don't so I only gave it 4 stars. Many of the images are only partial depictions and some don't even look like 'dolls' at all, they look like drawings of actual children at play. I would have liked to have seen the doll's fashions in their entirety. Other than that, it's a pretty good book for coloring enthusiasts.
The book itself is high quality, as all Dover publications are. Printed back-to-back on quality white stock paper. Markers bleed through, however, so unless you photocopy the designs, it's best to stick with colored pencils.

My mom is now under hospice care for cancer. I bought several of the Dover coloring books for her use. She decided they required too much pencil control and she is often shaky due to her pain medication. So I have these books for my own use, and a high quality set of colored pencils. She has a great box of crayons and some coloring books from the dollar store! It is a very relaxing activity we can share together. I highly recommend Dover books!
