I do agree these cuffs are on the small side. I have small wrists (about 7.5 in.)so they fit me fine. I think in the movie POTC 1 they must have used leg shackles, for the chain in the movie is much longer. Still, fun to use as a prop. Real metal/iron, good heavy feel. Just Don't Lose The Key Mate ! I've been doing historical theatre for over 30 years. I needed some authentic looking hand-cuffs for Gold Rush Days in Sacramento. I bought three pairs and only received one, however the one pair I received was so poor in quality that I'm not even asking for the other two pairs I paid for. The cuffs were covered in greasy rust and would have ruined or seriously damaged our costumes. This is a completely different product from the cuffs I'd bought years ago from another company (if only I'd kept the other company's name!). Anyway, I'm not a malicious person, this is the only bad review I've ever put out in my life, but the cuffs came covered in greasy rust and weren't what I needed for our show. Better luck elsewhere!
