All types of designs from simple to complex are depicted and beautifully photographed. The book can be used to research design styles; as a reference tool of design ideas for the stained glass craftsperson; or for anyone who appreciates stained glass and enjoys looking at beautiful windows.

This is one of the most excellent and comprehensive design resources that a stained glass artist should have. It is not an instructional manual, but a reference that provides detailed, color pictures of actual windows. I like this book because it portrays the various styles of stained glass and discusses the history of those styles. Roman, gothic, renaissance, arts & crafts, art deco, religious, contemporary and free style are all represented with quality photos. Valuations are provided for many of the examples to show the reader/artist what both contemporary and historical pieces have a tendency to be worth. This book often provides the visual nudge I need to get started on a project. I would recommend this book to anyone who is, or who wants to be, involved in creating beautiful stained glass projects.
