About the Author

Roberto Valeriani is an art historian who teaches the history of interior design at the Facoltà di Architettura di Valle Giulia in Rome.

Mario Ciampi has been an architectural photographer for over twenty years and his images have appeared in numerous publications worldwide.

This has to be one of the most beautiful collection of photographs compiled under one binding.
Absolutly worth adding to any serious library. Get lost within its lush images.

This book comprised of 304 pages, with beautiful photographs on each page. The photographs were not (collectively) as impressive as I felt they could have been. A better point of refernce are Christie's Auction catalogs.The text together with the photographs help the reader to understand how each residence can be considered a documentation of Italian taste in relation to history, whether on a large and epic scale, or a small private scale. Copyright 2005 Full-Color pictures of over 1000 pieces of furniture.
