I gave it as a gift and I will be buying one for myself.

Overall, I rate this item a 4 because for a cheap wall decoration it does the trick and given that it is made in China it looks pretty good.

Would be nice for wall decor, if it blends in with other items, but stand alone would not work well.

I was disappointed in the quality, though I am Native American and have seen some the most beautiful dream catchers imaginable. But you get what you pay for. The picture on the site is nice, but the "leather" is very thin and fake looking. The antler looks plastic. Would be nice for wall decor, if it blends in with other items, but stand alone would not work well. Especially if you have crafted dream catchers made from real leather. I have hand made dream catchers made by relatives that are lovely, and this didn't go well with them.

Amazon, you blew it big here. But you will give me a refund and endure my wrath.

I opened this box yesterday and the inner box with the "Made in China" label immediately sounded alarm bells. The disturbing part is that it didn't raise alarm bells on the Amazon staff guy who purchased this abortion. Seriously, who wants to but a native American craft item that's made in China? That should have been a big red flag about it being a bad idea right there. Is that guy even still WORKING at Amazon or is he unemployed, at home, watching TV and sipping a breakfast beer right now while he channel surfs?

Moving forward, the dreamcatcher itself is kind of meh in terms of construction but to cap it all off, the antler is made of PLASTIC. Yet another indication that the buyer is (or should be) among the chronically unemployed. But what about the people who put together the product details. Did they not think to themselves that it would be fair to let people know about the real details? Do they think that deer in china are made of plastic?

I can only think that the description writers are failed reality TV writers.

Seriously Amazon, this was intended to be a gift for a friend visiting the US and now I'm going to have to scramble to replace it in the middle of my work day and also waste time getting this piece of rubbish back in the mail. This product is pathetic but the fact that it's even here is worse.

I was online trying to find the 'best' native american dream catcher, this is the one i fell upon. The advertisement was nice, but when i got it there were a few little snags.

1. The peice of wood on top is fake, it is made of plastic; i expected a native american dream catcher to be 'all natural'.

2. The peice in the very center is made of cheap plastic, and is one sided - therefor you can only display the catcher from one side only.

3. It was made in China! No pun intended, but i expected a Native American product to come from the 'homeland'.

Being a gift i have not had time to apply by very critical scrutiny. Overall it is a great gift. The smaller one i have is probably of better quality. But, the design on this is still interesting. Hanging it up, being viewed as a sort of background, one will probably not notice theese very small deficiencies. If you like the advertisement, i'd say go ahead and get it, the majority of people, i think, would not be so critical. In any case, i think that this design is one of the best Amazon has to offer.

I was surprised to see what appeared to be a very beautiful dream catcher at such an affordable price. However, I guess the saying, "You get what you pay for," is true in this case.

When I received my order, I noticed that it was packed in a box making it obvious that this was a mass produced item and made in China (according to the sticker on the dream catcher itself). Now this alone was not remarkable since I couldn't expect handmade at such an affordable price.

Upon removing the dream catcher from the box, it looked like the picture online for the most part, but the workmanship was a little lacking. Despite this fact, it was still an attractive piece so I hung it up in my window.

After having it up for a couple weeks, I was sitting in my living room when I heard a small crashing noise. I looked around to find the source and discovered that the glue holding the leather pieces that held the dream catcher to the "antler" had given out and now it lay broken on my floor.

I took both pieces and tried to figure out if it was fixable and discovered that I could tie the pieces that had been glued to the "antler" to the leather pieces used to hang it from the nail in my window. After doing this, I re-hung it and it appears to be holding up just fine. You cannot tell that anything is amiss unless you knew how it was when it arrived and you look fairly closely.

Overall, it is pretty, but obviously cheaply put together. If you don't mind the possibility of having to make a slight repair to it to keep it hanging properly, then this is an okay product. If, like me, you like the things you buy to stay together for awhile without having to repair it, then I wouldn't recommend this product.

I love this dream catcher!!! I'm so glad that I didn't accept negatve comments regarding this! Actually, I would have purchased this much sooner if I didn't let the negative cause my hesitation. This is simply awesome!
