Su obra es introspectiva, esta bañada de melancolía, y con ella viene una veta de romanticismo que nunca habrá de abandonar. Su romanticismo está imbuido por el escepticismo y el desengaño, buscando paz y olvido. Sus fuentes de inspiración son: el amor, el dolor, la fugacidad de la existencia y la preocupación por su querida España. En esta colección, encontrarás poemas compuestos entre 1899 y 1922. Los poemas están organizados bajo los libros en los que fueron publicados.

Antonio Machado es uno de los grandes poetas españoles del siglo XX que fue popularizado por las musicalizaciones de Joan Manuel Serrat.Releer esta selección de poemas fue recordar mi infancia, aunque no la de un patio de Sevilla. Siento que fuese sólo una selección y no la obra completa.

I purchased this book to help me with my reading and oral practice in learning Spanish. It was very good for learning how to move my mouth and lips properly. However, it is written very poetically, using obscure and unusual grammatical forms. Even my tutor said that she hadn't seen words written that way.
