Pablo Neruda is one of the greatest poets of the Spanish language. Several years after he died, Rafael Alberti, a member of the generation of '27, had an anthology of Neruda's poetry published; It is this book. The prolouge of this anthology was written by Alberti himself. Neruda's poetry has incredible beauty. And anyone who's ever read him, can't avoid becoming a whole-hearted Neruda lover. This isn't a commun Neruda anthology, besides having incredibly diverse and breath-taking poetry, the reader always remembers that it's publication was born out of friendship. This life-long friendship takes the form of one of the most beautiful books I've ever read.
