The great Spanish architect Antonio Gaudi was born in Catalonia in 1852, the son of a coppersmith. His residential and religious buildings are known for their complex shapes, intricate and colorful decoration, and daring structural innovation. Park Guell, commissioned in 1900 by Gaudi's lifelong patron Eusebio Guell, was the architect's unique venture into urban design. The 'garden city' included 60 potential building sites and an assortment of park structures that conformed to the topography of the Barcelona hillside. The seven full-color 3-dimensional images on this View-Master(r) reel - photographed on Kodachrome in 1965 - include views of the gate lodge, the stone and concrete galleries, ceramic-faced fountains and serpentine benches. Uncommon subject but great images,

This may be somewhat of an unknown subject but it is very interesting just the same. The images presented were taken by a very skilled Stereographer and make full use of the format. This is not the same thing that you can find at Target or Wal-Mart but a very professionally done study in Antonio Gaudi's work. If you have any interest in Gaudi or just enjoy the View-Master format, you should not be disappointed with this reel.

worst view-master reel ever,

This was the worst waste of 12$ ever - the best image on the single reel is the one on the cover- all the others are underlit and poor subjects for stereophotography. The park has so many amazing and colorful settings, sculptures and buildings but none of them are on this reel except for the picture you see on the cover. As a stereophotographer, view-master collector, Gaudi fan and visitor to the park I can truly say this reel bites.
