5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Work
Excellent, thoughtful work that is easily readable by lawyers and nonlawyers alike. Dr. Sracic integrated and humanized a historic Supreme Court case by providing background on all the parties involved. Great read on very important issues that still affect our legal system today.

1.0 out of 5 stars Paul Srarcic Should Resign, August 1, 2011
Anyone interested in the purchasing this book should do a quick search and read this article by the same author first:

"Rep. Giffords Should Resign Her Seat" from CNN 6.24.2011

As the author of this article, Paul Sracic was motivated by political reasons to call for Gabrielle Giffords' (D) - AZ resignation as she was recovering from an attempted assassination. He made this cowardly assertion under the auspice of his understanding of the law.

Sracic wrote, "Even from the limited information that has been made available, we know that for the near term Giffords cannot carry out her committee assignments, debate on the floor of the House, and, most importantly cast a vote."

All of 37 days after Paul Sracic's thoughtless and partisan Op-Ed piece was 'published' online by CNN (06.24.2011), Representative Giffords cast a vote on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives (8.01.2011).

Paul Sracic should resign.

The author does a great job of providing context surrounding the issue. Additionally, the text is not too academic so it is an easy read. A very thoughtful and accurate work.
