Grade 4-8-Young people eager to read about their favorite NBA teams will not be disappointed by this series. Each slim volume has an eye-catching cover as well as numerous, clear, full-color and black-and-white photographs. The narratives open with a brief description of the host city, followed by a chronological retelling of the history of the team. The lack of indexes and bibliographies is regrettable, but does not detract from the overall value of these titles. Libraries will certainly want to secure the individual books pertaining to their local teams, and might consider purchasing some or all of the others, depending on the demand for sports material.
