Clifford Dobell covers most facts of Van Leeuwenhoek's life with true faithfulness, amusement and british irony. A very good book for all those accustomed to microscopic examinations of micro-organisms and also for those -scientists or not- who are very fond of knowing a little else about the discovery of protozoal creatures.
