Machel Montano has gone from child star to one of the most consistent and innovative soca artists in Trinidad today. This CD, their 1999 offering, contains many of the fast paced 'jams' that fans have gotten used to. One standout, that doesn't get mentioned as much as the larger hits (Powder Puff, UFO, Big Phat Fish, We Sound etc,) is a ragga inflected cover of U2's "With or Without You".

i have 1 favorite rapper which is jay-z i have one favorite reggea singer which is Culture B.I have one great favorite soca singer and it is machel montano.i think machel is the best soca artist of all time. i loved any minute now and i loved charge.no other way to descibe machel but one hot trini artist.

Probably one of the most gifted international artists around with spectacular potential to cross over. Soca at it's best.

SOME CALL IT SOCA-POP BUT IF THEY REALLY UNDERSTAND THE SOCA-GHETTO MIX THEY WILL SOON REALIZE "COME DIG IT " IS REALLY A "RUDE BOY FREESTYLE"! AS AN HONOUR STUDENT MACHEL HAS PROVEN HIM SELF TO BE VERY SMART AND AHEAD OF THE REST OF THE FIELD IN EVERY SENSE.REALIZING THAT TRYING TO MAKE ANOTHER SO CALLED POP HIT WILL JUST MAKE HIM AN IMPOSTER PLAYING A GAME HE DOSEN'T KNOW. Being from trinidad myself I know good music when I hear it, and Machel has a nice unique sound something I believe everyone can jump up too. And I just want to say that everything you do is sweet so continue to do what it is that you do.

Machel, I have always followed you ever since you were a child, your music has always made a difference when it comes to 'trini music' You create your own 'flava' and just the right 'umm' to it. Great CD
