This review is from: Any Place, Any Time, Any Where: The 1st Air Commandos in World War II (Schiffer Military/Aviation History) (Hardcover)
Written by the son of a friend, whose husband served in the First Air Commandos. While sleeping over at her house, I decided to read chapter 1. Could not stop. At 2:20AM after reading 5 and 1/2 chapters of this riveting true story, I stopped out of courtesy to my sleeping wife. Clear, concise and forceful history of real heroes and daring military strategy. These brave men laid the foundation for much of todays fighting technology using equipment and methods that were very new and dangerous. |
