Surprisingly well balanced and fantastic, April 1, 2010
Wow, I did not expect to like this album as much as I do. The first listening was amazing and it keeps getting better from there. It is hard to classify in "if you like this, then you'll also like" way, but...
This album has a wonderful mix of Sublime, Pepper (without the punk influences), Bad Ronald, Planting Seeds, Incubus, Ballyhoo!, Gym Class Heroes and of course, Kottonmouth Kings. The music is full and rewarding, the lyrics are well written and enjoyable. If anything some of the songs run a little long and get repetitive towards the end, but that is me looking for problems. I have not enjoyed an album in this genre in quite a while and I highly recommend it.
I would list favorite songs, but I don't think I could pull any out, they work together and compliment each other the way it takes all of the ingredients n a soup to make it right. If you aren't sure, listen to Insomnia, Sails to The Wind, Viva la Vida and the single, Lay Me Down. If you like any ONE of these songs, I recommend the whole album. It will only make you appreciate the others more.
Two thumbs up! I'm ready for summer, get this album and you will be too!

Great First Album, May 8, 2010
I had a chance to see this band open up for Sublime with Rome at the house of Blues in Boston. They put on a great show. I usually don't like a band the first time I hear them, but they sounded great. They are a hip-hop/ reggae band with 2 singers/ rappers. The first minute you hear them you will realize they are influenced by Sublime. Which is a great thing because Sublime happens to be my favorite band all time. There are some great catchy guitar riffs with some heavy bass lines that will put your stereo system to the test. The lyrics are very strong and written from the heart. For me,there are about 6 great songs on this album. More than half of the album is written more towards the females. So the ladies should like this album a little more than the guys. If you like sublime, you should definitely give this band a try. You will not be disappointed.

This review is from: Any Port in a Storm (Audio CD)
I've loved this band since the first time I heard them in "Surf's Up"! The record is fantastic, from the 1st to the last track....If you like 311, Sublime, Beasties, Pepper, old school reggae you'll love this band! Favorite tracks are Believe, Shine, Stand Tall and Chelsea, but the whole album is great!
