5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutley Brilliant!!!!!, May 28, 2003

This review is from: Any Road (Audio CD)
Any Road is one of George Harrison's best songs and a rollicking delight. It sounds like it was written for the Travelling Wilburys. The inclusion of the Any Road video on this CD makes it an absolute must have. Simon Hilton and Pamela Esterson did an excellent job of designing it for a small screen format (it is designed to play on computer screens using QuickTime). The choice of vintage film clips matching the words in the song is particularly brilliant. Some performance clips have been edited to make it appear that George was actually performing the song. George looks so very happy in most of these clips. The video is a very, very touching and emotional tribute to him.

Marwa Blues is a very beautiful instrumental from the Brainwashed CD. George's son, Dhani, performs on both tracks.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Compliment to Brainwashed, May 13, 2003
This review is from: Any Road (Audio CD)
The first commercial single of George Harrison's final album 'Brainwashed' featrues one of the classics from the record in "Any Road". The upbeat song features plenty of trademark Harrison guitar and would have fit right in on either Traveling Wilburys album. It's backed by the instrumental "Marwa Blues", which is a beautifully hypnotic tune that is sure to ease the mind. The real treat is the inclusion of the video for "Any Road", which features an extensive viewing of videos and pictures of all through Harrison's life and shows us just exactly how much we're missing.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Great Song on a Great Album, October 9, 2003
This review is from: Any Road (Audio CD)
I am pleased that this record was released as a single. In a proper radio market it is definitely a top 40 hit. But today there seems to be no rhyme or reason to what is a hit. This song sits alongside any of his best. It will not disappoint. Arguably his best opener on any of his albums.
