Very disapointed outlook user,
This review is from: AnyTime Organizer Deluxe 10 [OLD VERSION] (CD-ROM)
I use microsoft outlook, and was excited that this product supposedly syncs with outlook. Yay, I thought. Well, first time I sync, it deletes all my outlook calendar items! Took me an hour to restore everything to normal, and I have yet to find a setting where it won't do that!
It takes over instead of simply staying synced. So fair warning, if you are an outlook user, backup before you try anything with this product!

Not flashy but powerful,

I have searched for years for a Personal Information Manager that is intuitive, powerful and well integrated... and this is it. It's not glitzy, it could use a graphic facelift but underneath the plain cover is a program that is easy to understand, easy to use and has features not found in expensive PIMs. Unlike Calendar Creator 12, which may produce colorful calendars but is a horrible information manager, Anytime Organizer comes with well written electronic manuel that is easy to understand and has step by step instructions on how to accomplish what you want. This is a PIM for persaonal organization. I don't know if it would work for high end business management but if you're looking for something that will help orgainze your personal life, this is it.

Great Product!,

I bought the original version of this product, which was called "Stay Organized," quite a few years ago and thought it was a great product then. It was so simple to use that you didn't need to look at the instruction manual. I prefer a stand-alone organizer as opposed to those that come with various programs as I have found the ad-on organizers hard to get to and hard to use. You can use this program just like a book, turn pages, flip from one section to another.
This new version is really great as it has everything you need to keep up with everything that's going on in today's complicated world. I like having my calendar pop up when I turn on the computer with all my to do's for the day right there in front of me, although it's not necessary for those who don't want it that way. In fact, you can set the program up to work just about any way you want. I love the little clock that sits on my desk top. The notebook is a great added feature as well as the section that lets you keep up with all your passwords. I don't particularly need the earth clock, but if it's important to you to know what time it is in Bangladesh or any other part of the world, it's easy to find out. It's easy to create all kinds of reminders. Don't get excited, as I did, if every repeat of a repeated reminder for years to come shows up on your to do list. There's a button you can push to hide them all. This new version is just as easy to use as the old, and I only had to check the manual a little bit at first to find out how to use some of the new and unfamiliar features. I used the built in help only once to find out how to make the passwords show up, as they automatically come up hidden, which is good if someone else is using your computer. I've tried all kinds of organizers in my life and career, and in my opinion, this one is the best.

Anytime Organizer is the best,
By
This review is from: AnyTime Organizer Deluxe 10 [OLD VERSION] (CD-ROM)
I have been using Anytime since 1994. I have upgraded with each new version. This is one program that is affordable to upgrade without a second thought. It is one of the easiest, most intuitive programs I have ever used in 24 years of using computers. I have often said to people, my entire life is in Anytime. I am able to go back years to check on previous appointments or items on my to do list in the calendar. The address book gives me plenty of space to keep any additional information I may need as well as the notebook The printing options are endless. No matter how I want to print my calendar, the option is in there. And if you travel, it's fun to use the world clock, not to mention keeping track of your travel expenses. What I like most though is the simplicity of the product. It's an install and use. No manual necessary.

Organize simply!,

This review is from: AnyTime Organizer Deluxe 10 [OLD VERSION] (CD-ROM)
I tried what seems like everything to do the simple tasks I wanted to do: maintain my address book (with some flexibility to attach things like driving directions), and keep all of those little snippets of information that couldn't be neatly and logically kept elsewhere without learning a complex application.
AnyTime was my answer, and I've been using it for years. The address book is not going to do what Act! does, but it's not supposed to. It's certainly robust enough for my needs, and I'm able to do things like export to my cell phone. The other part I use heavily is the notebook. It's super-simple, but I keep everything in it that doesn't have another home. Now, I noticed that the latest version now has a password manager. I'll definitely check that out, as it's one of the things I actually use the notebook for! There's lot more functionality, but, unfortunately, my job forces me into another calendar system. Still, AnyTime, for me, has been that one simple, elegant tool that solved a whole bunch of "why can't my computer just do *this*!?" questions. One of those apps you just grow to love!

Sharing between 2 PCs doesn't work,

We have 2 PCs networked via a household wireless network, and have for years used Lotus Organizer on one of the PCs to keep our joint calendar. The functions of AnyTime Organizer are fine for us compared with Lotus Organizer, but we bought the product specifically because the calendar was supposed to be sharable between 2 PCs. This function works very poorly, with many error messages, hang-ups and program failures.

Not Good for Organizer Users,
By
This review is from: AnyTime Organizer Deluxe 10 [OLD VERSION] (CD-ROM)
If you are a Lotus Organizer user wishing to move to something more current, DO NOT BUY THIS SOFTWARE. Their webpage advertises that Anytime can "seamlessly" import your Organizer data. First, I don't agree that having to export from Organizer to an intermediate .csv file which Anytime reads meets the definition of "seamlessly". But the real insult is that Anytime crashes when attempting to import either the exported Organizer Contacts or Events information. It's fairly clear the "seamless" operation was never tested before releasing the product.
Extended e-mail conversations with Anytime support proved less than helpful. This may be a good program if you are starting fresh, but if you have extensive Organizer Contacts and Events information you wish to maintain I'd suggest you look elsewhere.

Useless Program!,
By Kira (North Carolina) - See all my reviews
This review is from: AnyTime Organizer Deluxe 10 [OLD VERSION] (CD-ROM)
I intended to use this product to sync with my Palm Life Drive. I was looking for a program that would allow me to print out slightly different calendar formats than I can do with the Palm Desktop, and they advertise that this program supports all Palm platforms. I have a lot of events in my calendar that repeat on alternating weeks, and I have them in my Palm PDA on 2 week repeats for the entire year. When I sync the PDA with the AnyTime "Organizer", it includes these events, which is what it is supposed to do. However, it also creates duplicate events, randomly at four-day repeats, for the entire year, completely messing up my calendar--that it was supposed to organize. I have deleted and re-loaded the program several times, deleted and re-synced the calendars, and it still does the exact same thing. Customer support still has not gotten back to me 10 days after I asked them how to fix this. Next time I contact them, I'm asking for my money back. The Palm Desktop Software may not be fancy, but it works! I would give this program 0 stars if I could...as far as I can see, it has no advantages to me over the software that comes with my PDA.

Not Pricey, But Effective,
By
This review is from: AnyTime Organizer Deluxe 10 [OLD VERSION] (CD-ROM)
I've used Lotus Organizer for a long time and decided it was time to upgrade to a WinXP version. In looking at the latest release and the significant price tag; I decided there has to be something better. AnyTime Organizer is just as effective and for less than half the price as Lotus. It's not filled with all the customizable color/bells and whistles; but it doesn't have to be. It's effect, doesn't take a huge amount of memory to run on my laptop and does the same job just as well. It's a good buy.

Anytime Organizer is a wonderful program--intuitive, powerful, and VERY user-friendly. I used a very early version of AnyTime Organizer around 6 years ago. This newer Deluxe Version 10 of course has addded functionality, but overall is still the same program I have "fond memories" of using. There is a Version 11 available, but I doubt if the the extra money to buy the "newest" version will get the purchasers more value they'll want/use/need. One of AnyTimes best features is its ability to "seamlessly" and easily take "tasks" and drag/drop them into appointments (or vice versa), and to keep important lists/notes/text in the note-book page section (with organizing tabs which making finding different sheets very simple!)
