Editorial Reviews

2010 release from the California Pop/Punk outfit. This phenomenal fourth album features classic infectious melodies and big guitar riffs. They are able to bring the rock for the boys but enough Pop that the girls will actually enjoy them more.

Rewind back to 2002 for a moment, when bands like Rufio, Allister, Blink-182, the Ataris, NFG ruled the airwaves. That is where this release unabashedly takes us, back to a time when music was once again, albeit briefly, FUN!

Most of these bands, however, ran out of gas around mid-decade, and whiny pseudo-emo bands took over the scene. Well now it's 2010 now, and most of the self-important, whiny emo has subsided, and bands like Allister, Blink, and Rufio are starting to resurface.

The first four tracks on this album are among the best the band has ever done. If you can recall, Rufio made one of the best pop-punk songs ever back in 2002, "Still." There is nothing as breathtaking on here as that song, but the tunes are catchy and fun, rocking out with melody. The other reviewer is also correct in stating that the bass is a little weaker than in the past releases. But nevertheless, it is about as straightforward as a pop-punk album can get, s sonic blast of energy that is a throwback to early pop-punk recordings. Kind of like Green Day's "Dookie" combined with a poppy version of Goldfinger.

Also, Allister's new album "Countdown To Nowhere" will be released soon, and it is outstanding as well. Look for that album. These guys make music fun again and they need our support!

I have to admit I'm a huge Rufio fan and have been since "Perhaps I Suppose" but this is by far my favorite Rufio CD to come out since that album. The guitar riffs are awesome, the hooks are catchy and it has a more mature sound then 1985 or The Comfort of Home.

The only thing that is missing is the awesome bass lines that were so frequent in the earlier albums. I'm not impressed with the new bassist at all but Clark and Scott pick it up with the guitar riffs so in the end it's all good. I do also have to compliment the new drummer. He is solid, creative and really makes the difference in making this CD to pure awesomeness.

Rufio is back, check this album out!

What else can we say? Rufio is back with fresh material that does not disappoint! The album has a great variety of songs that compliment previous albums such as Perhaps, I suppose, 1985, and The Comfort of Home.

Album is full of catchy songs such as "Under 18", "All that lasts", "Deep End", and "What you wanna here" just to name a few...these songs swell to an ambient conclusion with "Moonshine"

Rufio provides yet another album that satisfies my taste for great music

It sounds a little radio friendly and it might not be the "deepest" album out there but it sounds like Rufio and its easy to enjoy after only hearing the album a few times.
