4.0 out of 5 stars Anycom HS-777 Bluetooth Headset
Purchased this headset for my wife. Price is good compared to other headsets. The battery over the ear and the rest of the headset on the outside is a combination of the Jabra over the ear completely and the Motorola Headset that is completely outside the ear and is more comfortable than the HS-850.

4.0 out of 5 stars Anycom HS-777 Bluetooth Headset, July 26, 2006
This review is from: ANYCOM HS-777 Bluetooth Headset (Wireless Phone Accessory)
Purchased this headset for my wife. Price is good compared to other headsets. The battery over the ear and the rest of the headset on the outside is a combination of the Jabra over the ear completely and the Motorola Headset that is completely outside the ear and is more comfortable than the HS-850.

I had a Motorola HS-850. When you turned the HS-850 off and left the bluetooth power on your cell phone on, the HS-850 would connect automatically to the cell phone when you powered up the HS-850.

The Anycom HS-777 works fine, but if you turn it off, you have to connect the headset to your cell phone from the menu even if you leave the bluetooth power on your cell phone on . Other than that is is clear and never loses the connection.

3.0 out of 5 stars not sure...., December 22, 2005
This review is from: ANYCOM HS-777 Bluetooth Headset (Wireless Phone Accessory)
I bought this for my girlfriend who has a LG VX8100 phone. It paired up pretty quickly and effortlessly to the phone and was recognized. She seems to be pretty happy with it although I've noticed echos when she's on it and I'm talking to her. I hear everything I say repeated back to me. It's bearable but gets annoying. This seems to happen when the volume is turned up pretty high.
The headset paired right up to my Sony Ericsson s710a but I wasn't able to use it. I'm not sure where the problem is but the phone kept disconnecting from the headset (or vice versa, who knows?). I was annoyed by that but I'm glad that I didn't buy a pair of them when I bought my girlfriend's.

Buttons on the device seem a little hard to reach - the multifunction button is especially so when wearing it on the right ear.
This is my first experience with a bluetooth headset. The device seems ok. I will not purchase it again, but it's decent for the price - I got it cheaper from somewhere else.

5.0 out of 5 stars Simple and Effective, July 1, 2006
This review is from: ANYCOM HS-777 Bluetooth Headset (Wireless Phone Accessory)
My first bluetooth devide and wasnt sure what to expect. This was simple to use and simplerto configure. I am using the same with a USB adaptor from Kensigton. It was easily detected by the adaptor and was connected in no time. The voice quality was really crisp at both ends. At high volumes there is a hiss..not when ur at lower volumes. I am using it largely for VOIP conversations on skype. The buttons on the device look a little flimsy and am a little worried using them. The headset is light and fits snugly. I use it with glasses and even then.It took 4 hours to fully charge...and its been goining on for 5hours+.I paid 20$ for this peice on amazon and is a real steal for a good price.

3.0 out of 5 stars Buy only if it is cheap, March 27, 2006
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: ANYCOM HS-777 Bluetooth Headset (Wireless Phone Accessory)
I am using this headset for the past 3 months. The range of bluetooth sensitivity is not according to the specifications but the voice reception is good with little noise. Iam hearing from people I call that they couldn't hear me properly. Also the battery charge doesn't persist for long. If you have decided to buy a good headset, better buy the best rated product even if it is little bit expensive.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good Battery Life, Easy to Connect, May 6, 2006

And these are about the only good things I'd say about this product. As others have mentioned, I too have experienced a considerate level of statics in both the output and input (from complains by people on the other end of the line) and discomfort to my ears from the bulky hook. In order to reduce statics, I have to move my head around for the most "reception-friendly" posture. I guess you really get what you pay for.

4.0 out of 5 stars It does the job very well, July 15, 2006

This review is from: ANYCOM HS-777 Bluetooth Headset (Wireless Phone Accessory)
Yes, it has a hissing noise when the volume is up, but that's not more than any static on a normal call. The other end can always hear me well, I never had complaints from anyone, and I can hear them well. The volume has to be turned up when driving a car. It is a bit large for my ear, but after a few days of using it (1 hr/day) I was able to find the best way to put it on, so I have no problem now, unless I use it for over 2-3 hrs, which I usually don't. The manual is simple but useful. The only problem I have (hence the 4 stars, not 5) is that it is not easy to get used to the functions of the buttons. I have been using it for 3 weeks now, but still can't remember how to redial and how to voice dial. It connects well with my RAZR. I have not tested the whole 33 ft range but it doesn't lose the connection if I walk away 15-20 ft from my phone. The battery life seems to be pretty good. I have not let it drain out fully yet, but I think the specification is met. All in all, I am satisfied with this purchase and can recommend it.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best Sub-$30 headset out there., February 15, 2006
By
This review is from: ANYCOM HS-777 Bluetooth Headset (Wireless Phone Accessory)
I've used a ton of headsets like the Jabra 110, Nokia 11, the Body Glove retractable and even a few Motorolas.

This one, hands-down, is the best for the price I have tried to-date.

It is very lightweight (not super-small, but not overly-large) and quite comfortable. The sound quality is also excellent. Like the other reviewer said, make sure not to have the volume jacked all the way up.

I am using this with a RAZR and a Blackberry 8700 on Cingular.

3.0 out of 5 stars long battery life but not the best sound, February 20, 2006
This review is from: ANYCOM HS-777 Bluetooth Headset (Wireless Phone Accessory)
I used this primarily for voip using a bluetooth adapter on PC

battery life:
The best you can have out there period!! once it had fallen behind my bed and amazingly after 10days it was still charged!!

sound quality:
Thats the flaw it has a noisy background sound all the time!!
although its not very loud comapred to ur voice
well u can still talk and other person can still hear u clearly
however when i got the plantoric m2500 which has absolutely no background sound!! i think the sound matters more to me then long talk time so i got rid of it!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Battery Life, Comfortable to wear for long hours!, April 14, 2006
This review is from: ANYCOM HS-777 Bluetooth Headset (Wireless Phone Accessory)
Great Value, Awesome battery life!

I purchased this product to do Voice over IP. The important factor was comfort and long talk time.

It was a good Value for my Money.

Getting the Headset to connect with my computer was easy and the sound quality was great.

The Anycom Headset was a good find and I am very happy with my purchase.
