I never could stand the bluetooth headgear you plugged in your ear...looking like a leftover from a Star Trek Convetion. Now with this nice gadget, you simply sync it with your bluetooth enabled cell phone and go. It clips to your visor, you simply reach up and push a big button and you anwer the call. The speaking caller ID function works well too. I ran several tests with various levels of car background noise (fan, ac, radio, etc) and it is barely detectable on the other end. Your outgoing calls are loud and clear, with no need for shouting. To the passerby it will look like your talking to yourself...no ear buds, plugs, or wires!

Great Unit... but...,

This review is from: Anycom HCC-500 Bluetooth Car-Kit (Wireless Phone Accessory)
Voice quality is GREAT!!! Pairing was easy with both phones that we needed to connect. (Blackberry and LG) Overall I really like the unit, but I have had a couple of problems:
1) I use navigation on my phone (Verizon Navigator) and the HCC-500 volume can't adjust while navigating... only when talking. 2) The package I bought ONLY came with the car charger... no ac plug charger. This is sometimes a pain, as the cord stretches from my lighter to the visor where the unit hangs. People have said that my voice quality diminishes a bit if I just put the unit in the seat next to me while charging (in order to avoid the cord problem). 3) My charger has broken after only three months of owning it (which is how I wound up on Amazon looking for the device). I'm trying to find a new charger now. To my knowledge, there was no misuse of the charger... it just stopped working. ***UPDATE*** My husband took the charger apart and discovered that it has a fuse in it which can be easily replaced by unscrewing the tip of the charger. (Discovered the ease of unscrewing the tip after dismantling the unit.) Replaced the fuse and it works like a charm.
