Anyone know how the user-submitted photographs were taken? I'm looking for a good basic microscope for my daughter with the ability to capture the image. Any suggestions?

The LCD Celestron model would be great except it has lousy top lighting.

Could you go into a little more details on how you took the pictures?
Did you use some kind of eyepiece to connect the camera?
Any information would be appreciated.

I used my own point and shoot 10 megapixel camera. It's much better resolution that the digital eyepiece cameras. Try that first and then you could always add a digitial eyepiece later. I just uploaded some customer pics to the My First Lab DuoScope page taken with my Nikon coolpix. This was my first attempt at the photography as we just got the microscope yesterday.
