At first......Anything But This Book,
By Shay (Philadelphia, Pa) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Anything for a Friend (Hardcover)
I read this book a coulpe of months ago.Honestly, at first I thought it was so boring , slow and drawn out. If I was an impatient person I would have quit this book.I waited to see if it will get better......It sure did! It's a very great book. You might not think so at first, but just wait it will really good.I gave it four stars for it being so drawn out at first. the book is basically about a girl with a weird name, wallis. she moves to diffrent school very often. When you're reading it focuses on only one school.this time she tries not to make the ugly mistakes she made at other school , leaving her with no friends. In my opinion this book is worth reading.

I read this book when I was in the sixth grade.Itis a very good book.I loved the character wallis.I understood her......but this book at first was soooooo boring that if I have no patience I would have put it down.Yes, it starts out too slow and I was yearning for it to get more better...It did! If I could describe this book in a few words that would be : It's worth the wait.Anyway the book is about this girl with a weird name who move from different homes alot. But it don't take place in all the school she attends. This one she's ready not to make any mistake she made at her other school leaving her with no friends.I'm afraid I'm giving away too much so I'll stop here.yes, I do reccomend it to you.Ellen Conford really capture my interest in this one!

When I read this book,I thought it was boring. But then when I got in the middle of the book it was great. I had experienced so much things in this book about being a friend. Having a true friend! This book was a great deal for me. Wallis, was girl who had meant stuffy the boy who was in the neighborhood. Stuffy was clever boy about making all those things he wanted to do. I enjoyed the book very much!

I Have A Dream,
By David Britt Jr (Cerritos, Ca United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Anything for a Friend (Hardcover)
I a have a dream that all men are created equal because truth is beauty and beauty is truth and in whose eyes the beauty of genuine brotherhood, and peace is more precious that diamonds silve or gold, thats why I have a dream. The paragraph above, is a small portion of Martin Luther King Jr's speech named I have a dream. It was a terrible day when Martin was shot (by James Earl Ray). Martin wanted everybody to be created equal and tried to hard to accomplish his goal. Today his hardwork has paid off. Just look around, all people, black, white, everybody, are treating each other equally and that, was/is dream. Martin was very succesful in school, he was smart, handsom, and athletic, he always put his studies first. When he got out of college he followed his fathers steps as a pastor and started the civil rights movement. One day while signing a book he wrote, he was stabbed but after awhile. After a few years he was awarded the Noble Peace Prize. His wife Coreta was always supporting him and the day Martin gave his speech was the day heshowed the world the dream he had! |
