Review

"A thought provoking exploration of freedom. It will inspire anyone who has ever dreamed of a better life." -Quincy Jones

From the Author

I was introduced to Æsop at the age of three when my dad sent home a Warner Brothers 'Reader Record' of "Bugs Bunny and the Tortoise." I was enthralled with the story and Dad, feeding my hunger, brought home and edition of "Æsop's Fables' and I learned of this great storyteller's tales sharing them with him.
Æsop has influenced my life and when his story came to me, I was grateful that I had been chosen to share it for our times. I hope that you enjoy "Anything Is Possible" as much as I have savored the journey of writing it.

A beautifully told story bringing to life a character we all all love. As Aesop strives for freedom our hearts go with him with every twist and turn. Timeless messages artfully entwined in a magical story. I could not put the book down and now I'm waiting for Tom's next book

This is an extremely well written, beautiful story that brings an ancient fable into modern focus. In these times of "can't do" "Anything is Possible" is extremely refreshing!

Sometimes it takes so long for such an "obvious" story to be told because it's waiting for the right purveyor of the story to come along. The incredible and inspiring tale of Aesop (the man who created all of those fables we know so well started his life as a slave and ultimately becomes one of the most powerful men in his time, advisor to Kings) has never been told. While we've all heard the fables, the tales, in so many versions, this is the FIRST time we get to know of the man and his struggles and his incredible life. The author, Tom Bahler, deftly and without abandon injects life into Aesop and as a result he has crafted a beautiful story, taking us all over ancient Greece, into the classrooms of the philosophers, into the arms of Aesop's great love Diana and into the crosshairs of his enemy. Aesop's nemesis, Hyksos (sp?) is incredibly well-written, both a truly formidable and yet, surprisingly complex, villain. He is one of "the great written bad guys". It's rare to find such a character so well developed - he fascinates me. I don't want to give to much away but I was just so excited that this novel finally was released - I had heard about it a while ago and was just waiting for it and it was everything I had hoped. I think you will enjoy (as I was) being carried along with Aesop. I couldn't put the book down from page 1 (or digital page 1 anyway). The author, Bahler, is obviously the long-awaited purveyor of this story which Aesop's life was deserving of and waiting for... for it to be told in this way. This book is as much a historical novel as it is a book "of life" that points out for all of us, in our most downtrodden moments, that there is meaning in them and that there is a way out, or at the very least through. My only criticism is that I want MORE... Enjoy!

Tom Bahler's resume of talent continues to expand. An imaginative story that I quickly passed on to my children to read as it is a book for all ages. Life lessons are presented not just by fables, but also by classic storytelling. You won't be disappointed - a sequel is hopefully coming soon.

A pleasant, predictable, rambling fable. The author's musings on the fictional life of AESOP. A talented writer but a mediocre tale.

A truly inspirational and timeless read. I found this book to be an asset that manifests itself in my everyday life. We all know the stories of the Tortoise and the Hare, The Dog and the Bone and many more fables told by Aesop. However, this book sheds light into life of Aesop, a boy that was born a slave, but as a man died an ambassador. How is this possible? Anything is possible!!

This book offers a bit of everything. Romance, murder, deceit, perseverance and betrayal can be found throughout. I enjoyed the romance of Aesop and Dione as well as the navigation of Aesop's life as he rises to esteem.

I will read this book again and again! With each perusal, I find new sustenance. Enjoy!

Thomas Bahler has created a delightful adventure, the story of a man whose name is known to all readers, but who nobody knows. His version of Aesop's life takes us to a world where anything is possible, where a young man, born a slave, uses his innate intelligence to create stories that will last for centuries, and overcomes nmerous obstacles to rise to unimaginable heights. A tale for all ages.
