5.0 out of 5 stars For the Small and very Funny...
I don't know if my son loves Charlie and Lola more than I do, we watch the show on Disney together and he can act out every motion and mimic every giggle. For the most part I think he thinks he's Lola, he is small and very funny... so... I bought the books to help sway him into reading more with me. My son is just 3 and has been diagnosed with autism, so his focus is a...

1.0 out of 5 stars NO
I am a big fan of Charlie and Lola and have the whole collection for my three year old daughter. This book is NOT like the old ones (Excuse me that is my book, Snow is my favorite and my best, I'm not sleepy etc..) The story is a bad, very short version of the TV series and the design that used to be fantastic and creative is limited to text on a block at the side of the...

I am a big fan of Charlie and Lola and have the whole collection for my three year old daughter. This book is NOT like the old ones (Excuse me that is my book, Snow is my favorite and my best, I'm not sleepy etc..) The story is a bad, very short version of the TV series and the design that used to be fantastic and creative is limited to text on a block at the side of the image. The price is great, but it's not worth it. (The same goes for "You can be my friend" and "I'm an alligator "
Its a pity because they were unique in their stories and illustrations.

1.0 out of 5 stars not a REAL Charlie and Lola book, December 3, 2008
This review is from: I Can Do Anything That's Everything All On My Own (Charlie and Lola) (Paperback)
I ordered this for my son, not realizing that this book is "characters created by Lauren Child" instead of actually being authored by her. Once you start reading, it is obvious that the same charm and wit is missing, as this book was churned out by some ghostwriter at Disney. Make sure that you buy one of the "real" books- they are so much better!

5.0 out of 5 stars For the Small and very Funny..., March 27, 2008
This review is from: I Can Do Anything That's Everything All On My Own (Charlie and Lola) (Paperback)
I don't know if my son loves Charlie and Lola more than I do, we watch the show on Disney together and he can act out every motion and mimic every giggle. For the most part I think he thinks he's Lola, he is small and very funny... so... I bought the books to help sway him into reading more with me. My son is just 3 and has been diagnosed with autism, so his focus is a challenge, But when we sit down with Charlie and Lola, he immediately taregts in, he knows the books before we even open the covers. We love Charlie and Lola, it's artistry is delightful, the stories are relatable to children, in a very identifiable way, and the kids actually seem like kids, and not like adult versions on children. And I think there could be worse things in life for a child to grow up with British manners. So polite. My son learned "please" and "Thank you" from Charlie and Lola. If I could reccommend these books higher I would.

This book is only a few pages long. My daughter loved it and we read it quite often. If your child likes Charlie and Lola, he/she should like this also.

5.0 out of 5 stars A big hit at my house!, September 12, 2009

This review is from: I Can Do Anything That's Everything All On My Own (Charlie and Lola) (Paperback)
The attorney I work with introduced me to the world of Charlie & Lola. It's terribly appropriate because my 4 year old granddaughter has a baby sister whose name just happens to be "Lola." Charlie & Lola and Scooby-Doo have replaced Dora and Diego on Grandma's DVR. Maizie was delighted with my first purchase of Charlie & Lola books so I imagine there will be many more to come.

We love the Charlie and Lola series. What a treat for kids and parents! Artsy illustrations and cute, innocent stories. It also inspires our children to make pictures with different mediums. Excellent buy and different than your average children books!
