If you have an air die grinder, or a Dremel, and you've tried the chain saw sharpening stones... you've probably wondered (while silently swearing) that someone MUST make a better attachment. THIS is it. If I was really really lucky, I might get three chains sharpened with one of the stone abrasive attachments. When I wasn't lucky, the dumb things would break down almost immediately. That is NOT the case with these burrs. The diamonds are embedded into the metal on these burrs. I can sharpen a chain in about the same time it takes to change a chain. I've sharpened 5 chains with the first burr (there are 4 of them), and it's not even close to being dull. Also, I can apply PRESSURE without anything breaking down. These are definitely worth the money.

I have a chain saw I loaned out and when I got it back it was as dull as a butter knife. I tried several times by hand using a file and rickety file guide to sharpen, but with one of the gee-whiz Dremel file guides and these sharpeners I have the sharpest saw in town. Very easy and fast to use. It take about 2-5 minutes to sharpen a chain on an 18 inch bar.

A dull Chain on a chainsaw is just a pain and no gain. A simple rotary diamond bit sharpen chainsaw chain just makes the cutting job a breeze.

We use this specifically to sharpen the blades of the chainsaw - it has extended the life of each chainsaw blade - a big savings!

I bought these stones for the first time. The weird thing after sharpening the first time is that it does not spark when sharpening but they seem to work so far!The other thing is that I found single(1) for a 1.79 a pc. and I spent 8.99 for 4 pc (2.25 each) so I think buying singles may be more cost effective! To all, wear them safety glasses cause if any of those diamond chips fly off that dremel at high rpm, it could be nasty in the eyes, in my opinion.

I GAVE up on sharpening my Husky chain by hand, WITH the husqvarna approved filing kit. I was doing more work sharpening the chain than cutting anything. I know, I'm whining, but I knew there had to be an easier way. So I looked into buying a Dremel, but i'm too cheap and bought the black and decker RTX. The tool works great, so I bought these diamond bits. Let me tell you, the RTX has 3 speeds, I used the middle speed and barely grazed the chain teeth... and the result was superb. Like cutting butter, so now I can't wait to go back the next time and use the highest speed to see what result I will have!I did the research, and others said to look into diamond bits, and I did, and now I'd recommend it as well to anyone looking for a sharper chain cut! |
