Very useful tool kit. But the handle is all plastic and comes with a warning to use it cautiously to avoid damage to the plastic handle. If the handle breaks, the tool heads are useless because the shafts are non standard. Wish they were 1/4" shafts so that I can use it with most other handles.

The bit selection is great. The non-standard bit size isn't so great when the included screwdriver lasts one or two uses before it's cheap plastic parts crack open. There is a warning to this effect, but even with that the cheapness of the included screwdriver almost makes the set useless.

I've yet to try using the bits with my adjustable drill chuck or any other adaptor but a quick search online showed that some manufacturers do sell sizes other than the standard 1/4" bit holders. I'm looking into replacing the screwdriver with a nicer one if I can find a size match since the smaller shank is useful for some small electronics.

I'll update this review if I find a good solution, otherwise I'd recommend buying a set with either standard bits or a more robust screwdriver.

This set contained the Torx driver I needed to replace a Jeep headlight. But the plastic collar that you turn to hold the bit in the handle cracked open while being finger-tightened! I was still able to get the job done. The tool was not tough enough, but what do you expect for a 32-piece set for $13?

You get plenty of less common tips in this set. As others have mentioned, they are of non-standard size, so don't expect to use them in another screwdriver. They feel decently sturdy and I can't think of any application where precision screws would require enough force to risk damage to this thing.

It's great having the slim tips. I bought this set mostly for its Torx tips. It's almost impossible to find T4 - T6 screwdrivers that can reach recessed screws, but these do the job.

As with others before me, the handle is very cheap and flimsy but the bits are solid. All in all, it gets the job done for small computer work.

I bought this set along with the 30 pc precision screwdriver set (one for my husband, one for me). The handle itself is low quality, but the rest is good. I had the piece that tightens down the shaft break within 5 minutes of opening package. It is made of plastic and not very durable. The one plus with this set is the extension, I can use it with the 30 pc set. (I guess now, I have one really good set and some extra replacement bits, for a little more money spent then expected).

I chose this set because I was looking for the most attachments per dollar; all I really needed was a mini torx and phillips head screwdriver. But I saw this and figured, why not?

Now I know. First, the design: like other tools of this type, the bits are fastened to the handle by tightening a collar down onto them. Normally this is fine; you just need to tighten the collar well to keep the bit from slipping. And, if it does, it usually doesn't go to far. But with this 'tool' the former is made impossible because the threading that the collar interlocks with is flimsy plastic, making serious tightening impossible. The plastic simply strips right off. And when the bit does slip because the collar is too loose, it falls waaay up into the hollow body of the tool, making it very difficult to fish out.

If you can get the bit to stay in place, your efforts will be rewarded with bits that seem to be made of the softest metal on earth. The smallest phillips bit could not hold up to removing the case screws from a MacBook pro even once. The tip of the bit began to twist and strip off almost immediately.

So, in short, if you don't mind constantly having to spend five minutes fishing your slipped bit out of the tool and aren't tightening screws made of anything harder than plastic or wood, these will suit you fine. Otherwise, keep your money. Mine arrived less than 10 hours ago and the set is already in the trash.

Here's the skinny on this tool. Let me say out of the gate that this is a good value, and that the comments herein are meant to help those who either are considering this tool, or have one already.

1. The "non-standard" shafts are actually 5/32" and all of the bits may be used successfully with a nut driver of that size, such as the xcelite P5, available from Amazon for about 3-1/2 bucks. I already had an xcelite set, so didn't need to buy one.
2. The bits are MANY, this is good value from that perspective.
3. Judging by micrographic examination the bits seem to have been formed but not post-machined. This means that they are not sharp (yes you can sharpen a bit!). All of the edges are fairly rounded, suggesting that they will more easily slip under torque than a more expensive machined bit. Some of this can be corrected by a simple mild grinding to the tip of certain bits, but nothing is going to correct the lack of sharpness of the flutes, such as the Torx bits (the reason I bought this set).
4. The plastic handle is a joke. Plastic nut over a plastic expansion collar is all that holds the bits. This is ok for the really small bits, but you'll easily overpower this handle with any of the larger bits. As I mentioned earlier, use a 5/32 P5 driver if you need any real torque.
5. Nice case, but I wish there was some kind of notation near each bit telling you, for example, T4, T5 and so on. I'll probably end up writing it in with a sharpie. There is a subtle imprint on the shank of each bit with the size, but it's really hard to see.

That's about it. This product is worth the 9 or so bucks you pay for it, don't expect Snap-On quality and you won't be disappointed.

Neil

This is a great deal on hard to find smaller bits. Another plus is that Anytime Tools shipped it out quick. I ordered on Sunday and it was at my door Wednesday - just paid for regular shipping. I wish other companies would follow suit with this type of service!
