I needed a dial caliper and micrometer to measure things in a piano in order to get a new string made. I just needed to measure to the nearest .001". I liked the looks and especially the price of this set offered by Anytime,inc.. I was delighted with both the quality, convenience, and the fact that they were spot on about their shipping estimate. It arrived exactly when they said it would. I wouldn't recommend this if I were building to tolerances needed by,say, the Space Shuttle, but I didn't need that accuracy. After going through a couple calipers of very disgusting quality,and returning them. i decided to go with these, without much hope. when i opened the box though, wow. The 6 Inch ruler is pretty standard as 6 in rulers go, AND its made in the USA, very rare these days

-the dial caliper, the reason i bought this kit, is Superb! Its made of hardened stainless, plus has zero, lock, screws that can zero and anotehr that can lock the measurement in place. After several rapid spins, it still points to zero when i close the calpier tips completey. Very nice.

- the 1 inch micrometer is very nice as well, similar to the snap on ones ive used in the auto shop, zeros perfectly as well.
The box is the one con, the tools dont fit in there too tightly, and if you shake it, the tools will bang around (but it shouldnt matter as the dial caliper is shock proof anywyas). i just glued a foam square that fits the underside of the top lid and i was good to go!

I didn't expect for the price that these would be as high quality. They are very usable and very nice tools; calibration is easy. The only minor criticism is that the ruler provided does not fit in the slot in the case. I wish this came in metric sizes for the price, but it is a very nice set of tools.
