Last winter the ice split a willow tree on the edge of our property and the limb sheared off and landed like a javelin right on top of our invisible fence wire. It's not enough to splice the wire, it has to be weather proof. The smallest size in this pack is just right for the project after you cover the soldered splice with silicon or shoe goo. I'm happy to have the surplus tubing around for more home repairs. Heat shrinkable tubing ranks right up there with duct tape and WD40 for improvising solutions. In the words of the immortal Red Green, "This is just temporary... unless it works."
