This is Mariah's best remix for one of her songs. There are two Maxi singles. I like C.D. 2 the dance remix better. She has amazing vocals and will blow you away. C.D.2 is always in my C.D. player, even though the songs are like 10 minutes long their not boring because she has more time to do what she wants and is not confined in getting it all done in like 4 minutes. A must have for any True Mariah Fan.

The "Anytime you need a friend" CD single #1 is a great single to have. The title track is a gospel-influenced ballad with a very strong lead vocal and incredible background vocals provided by a gospel choir. Along with the album version of the title track are 2 remixes (also pretty good) and then a wonderfully serene ballad (no over powering vocals on this one) called "Music box".

Even better is the AYNAF Cd single #2-it is filled with 4 remixes of the title track that provide the ultimate soundtrack for work-outs, driving long distances, parties, or even just as background music. I highly recommend both CD singles!!!

I don't have the maxi single but I downloaded the Soul Convection Remix of Anytime You Need a Friend and it is very cool! Mariah has amazing vocals and this is one of her best remixes.

I totally love this song!! Anytime You Need A Friend is so amazing vocally, lyrically and musically!! Mariah sings with so much soul and emotion and power on this song and I love the choir singing in this too, it makes me feel like I'm in church!! Actually the Stringapella and Soul Convention Remix makes me feel like I'm in church as well because of the Gospel sound and it's awesome that Mariah added more vocals!! Whenever I hear the part in the song that goes "If You Just Believe In Me, I Will Love You Endlessly", I think of Jesus because with the love of Jesus, you'll survive!! All the remixes and club mixes are cool too! The Stringapella is basically just Mariah singing, it lets the listener focus on Mariah's amazing voice, I love it!! Music Box is such an amazing slow ballad that I love because you'll hear a music box throughout the entire song.

When I saw that there was a club mix video for Anytime You Need A Friend on MTV, I was searching for the single with the C & C Club version and finally after a few years I was able to get the CD singles with the club mixes which I totally love and recommend anyone who doesn't have them to get them as soon as possible and of course this CD single with Music Box on it. I got them both the same day and I just totally love them!!

Anytime You Need A Friend should have been another #1!! Every version of Anytime You Need A Friend and Music Box is so amazing and Mariah's voice is so incredible and powerful!! Get these CD singles of Anytime You Need A Friend immediately if you don't have them yet!!!

This is my FAVORITE Mariah song ever! Oh goodness, I have listened to this song over and over for like ever. This song has seen me through some very hard times. I love the gospel feel of the song and I recommend this song to anyone who is lonely and or depressed. It's a great pick me up.

"Anytime you Need A Friend" is perhaps Mariah's most underrated single. Though similar in music/lyrics to the incredible #1 hit "Hero", "Anytime You Need A Friend" takes a little more of spiritual side to it. I always liked this single ever since I was a little 3rd gader when it first came out. This is pure soul right here. I like how it goes from depressing-like verses to a powerful refrain, not to mention her signature upper-octive notes towards the end. It's a shame "Anytime You Need A Friend" didn't go to #1 (but it came close), because it's one of her best singles. Why aren't there any good songwriters like this out on the charts anymore? all we hear now is filth like Nelly and Vanessa Carlton. Definately reccomended to all Mariah/non-Mariah fans. A+ Oh yeah, the title track from her "Music Box" album is incredibly beautiful as well. It's a favorite of one of my friend's and will make you put it on repeat as well. :)

this song is laced with emotion and powerfully touching to one's heart when feeling troubled.Marah's a seasoned veteran in touching people's heart with her music.

Anytime You Need A Friend was one of my favorites from the Music Box album (the title track is great too, should of been released) and this cd features nice remixes of the song. Added gospel flavor and arrangements that are not on the original. Definately worth the effort to find and the money spent.

All I have to say is this woman is the best singer on the entire Planet... She has inspired me my entire life even as a baby.. I can remember listening to emotions for the first time in my entire life back in 1991 which was when i was born and she hit some notes no other singer can do or even compare to.. She is such a PHANOMAL SINGER! These are amazing songs but my favorite off the album is Anytime you need a friend String apella..Please buy this and see for yourself, Each album she does she gets better and better... I Love you 4ever and always.. Thanks for being my #1 singer and hero in my heart,even past the end of time.CRT FOREVER
