** This is a New Adult Romance, intended for mature audiences 17+**

Allison Hagan has not lived the life of a normal teenager. Her parents died in a car crash when she was ten, and she has been living with her elderly grandmother who happens to be her only living relative ever since. Allison became best friends with the boy next door, Aiden. Aiden’s family has taken her in as part of their own, which is why when her gran insists that she live in the dorms at college, Allison chooses to attend the same school as Aiden.

Liam MacCoy is a college senior and quarterback of his college football team. Liam is rumored to be first round draft pick for the NFL following graduation, as is his best friend, Aiden. Liam has one focus and that’s football, that is until his little sister introduces him to her roommate Allison. Since he met her, he hasn't been able to think of anything else.

Liam is not a relationship kind of guy, and Allison wants it all. She wants the romance and the family that she grew up without. Will Liam overcome his fear of relationships as well as the tangle of friendships to give Allison everything she wants?

1.0 out of 5 stars I cannot finish this book September 4, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This mess desperately needs proofreading and editing, but that wouldn't fix all its problems. The characters could not be more boring and insipid, and the plot is so hackneyed and overused. The worst part about this book, though, is the writing. It's 3rd grade level (and that's being generous). In a nutshell:

- Sentences strung together with commas instead of periods/new sentence; run-on sentences; short, choppy sentences; tons of punctuation errors.
- Missing words (especially prepositions and articles)
- Extraneous words
- Incorrect words: Of instead of off, to and too mixed up, your instead of you're - it's endless
- Fingers aren't sprayed. They are splayed.
- Incorrect past tense for past perfect (drank when drunk should have been used). This is a common error of indie authors but still not acceptable.
- Countless tense shifts, including present and past tenses in the same sentence - repeatedly! Dizzying.
- Truly ludicrous dialogue.
- "color bone" SIGH.
- College football timeline is completely wrong. The school's first game was the week before Thanksgiving?? Insane! Such a glaring error.
- Aiden is known as Ace to Allison and as Dash to his teammates. That is until Aiden himself refers to Dash as another person while in conversation with Liam and Allison!

Do not waste your money unless you have no quality standards for the fiction you read. I'll be asking for a refund.

3.0 out of 5 stars Younger readers!!!! August 31, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
This book is very much for younger readers. I just could not finish it. I found myself putting it down and picking it back up repeatedly until I just could not take it anymore. The dialogue was really unbelievable I have never heard a guy talk like this in real life. The book didn't really have a plot other than the two main characters professing how much they love it each and cant be apart from each other. It was like the author was a teenage girl who has never had a boyfriend dreaming about what it would be like. I think anyone under the age of eighteen will probably really like this if you are older pass this one up.

1.0 out of 5 stars Confused September 11, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I'm confused as to how did this book get 4 stars... There is so much wrong with this, I don't know where to begin. First off, one of my biggest pet peeves is when a book has grammatical errors. These are what editors are for. I strongly recommend the author demand a refund for her editorial team.
Now onto the plot line itself, is it just me, or does Liam's consistent referral to Allison/Sis/Ash/Allie-girl's physical features start to get repetitive? There was a point in my reading of this where I thought to myself, "I should take a shot every time he says 'beautiful girl'. Looking back I'm glad I didn't go through with this because I would've probably gotten alcohol poisoning before reaching chapter 3.
His love for her borders on obsession and possession, that personally I find kinda creepy.
All in all I didn't like this book, there was too much of the author telling what was happening rather than letting me experience it. I'm all for easy reads, but this was just painful (seriously, I cried due to my constant laughter and utter disbelief) Save your money!!
SN Allison/ Sis/Ash/Allie-girl would have been better paired with her childhood friend, Aiden/Ace/Dash
& the multiple nicknames are unnecessary

1.0 out of 5 stars Could have been an interesting story September 10, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I am struggling to find something positive to say, because I don't like just being negative. I guess the story could have been interesting, but this book needs a lot of editing before it gets there. Just to name a few things editing could have helped with: (1) Tense - there is a reason books are hardly ever written in present tense. It is just awkward and doesn't flow as well as past tense. (2) The phrasing was also very awkward - college students don't talk that way, and people don't think that way. (3) Breaking the 4th wall - every now and then the "narrator" would speak directly to the reader. That can work, but it can't just be thrown in there willy nilly; it has to be a conscious choice and be utilized throughout the book. (4) There needed to be some basic editing for grammar and punctuation - thoughts were left hanging, wrong punctuation was used, words were misspelled. This was throughout the entire book. Please do not just rely on SpellCheck! (5) Show, don't tell - when I finally reached the end I realized that the main reason I was so unsatisfied was that the author was just telling me what happened. It made me feel really disconnected by the story. (6) How many times was Liam going to call Allison, "Beautiful Girl?" And we get it - she is his life! (Maybe this is part of the "show, don't tell" - we were told she was his life, but we hardly were shown it).
There is more, but I feel mean enumerating it all. The beta readers Ms. Ryan thanked in her acknowledgements should have told her some of this stuff; this seems more like a first draft than a finished product.
I returned the book.

3.0 out of 5 stars Cute, light story but was not proofread September 20, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
It's not "wines" it's "whines," not "your" it's "you're." And the phrase is "I couldn't care less" not "I could care less" cause if you COULD care less then why don't you? It doesn't look like it was self published, but even if it were, please have someone proofread your work! (if I have a grammatical mistake in this feedback, feel free to laugh at me). And seriously, find a better pet name for the woman you love, not "beautiful girl" or "baby". Most people reading romances probably aren't girls, we're women, really juvenile pet names aren't an endearment, it just shows lack of creativity or thought.

I haven't finished the book yet, I'm a little more than half through it, but it's nothing exceptional. Girl looking for love and family meets boy who has never been serious, but wham they're together with very little drama (yet anyway). The amount of PDA is a little much, granted they're in college, but even when I was in college I would have been disturbed if I saw friends that way. Usually that much PDA means you're very insecure or your relationship is just about the physical. The characters don't have much depth. Everything just seems too easy and perfect for them, even the fact that her parents died when she was young was not a source of conflict... She could have witnessed it and had nightmares or barely survived herself or struggled with money or feelings or not being worth as much, but no, she's beautiful and smart and everyone immediately loves her. He's the football star with a great future. Cause that's every reader's life and we can all relate, right?

If you don't really care about spending a few bucks on a book, it's not a terrible read, but if I were pricing it (for the Kindle version) it wouldn't be worth more than $0.99.
