The Versatile Mr. David Pack, April 17, 2009
If you liked the group Ambrosia than you will definately enjoy David Pack's "Anywhere You Go" CD. The vocals are put together so well, that it will be a very short time before you start singing these songs. The suprise piece of this album is "I Just Can't Let Go" vocals by David Pack, Michael McDonald, and James Ingram. There are other songs on the album that are equally excellent. If your sick of all the garbage you hear today then get this CD, you will be pleasantly surprised. I hope we hear more from Mr. Pack and his friends. Anywhere You Go

A spectacular solo album from Ambrosia's David Pack!, March 4, 2005
This review is from: Anywhere You Go (Audio CD)
Extremely catchy, well written and realised music by Mr. Pack. Typical of his work with Ambrosia, you get one of rock's best voices, superb and inventive guitar work, and dazzling arrangements. All I can say is, if you like Ambrosia, David's voice or simply enjoy genuine musical artistry, then get this album!

It's David Pack.....NOT Ambrosia, October 25, 2006
I pre-ordered "Anywhere You Go" because of the song "Prove Me Wrong" that is featured in the movie "White Nights." I was severely disappointed to discover the version on the album is different from the movie...I actually liked the movie version much better. That disappointment set the tone for the rest of the album. I listened to it once and decided it was a waste of money, but after giving it some thought, I listened to it again and actually liked it a little better. My first suggestion to anyone thinking of buying this album is to realize it's NOT Ambrosia, it's David Pack. I'm a big Ambrosia fan and loved what David Pack did with the group. Regardless of the fact this isn't Ambrosia, I was hoping for some remnant of the old Ambrosia sound. David Pack's first album is a lot lighter and pop-oriented, so it's a completely different sound....EXCEPT for his voice. Not to critize his voice, but I think he did much better vocal work with Ambrosia than in his solo albums. Even though there are many talented artists that worked on this album, the songs don't seem to exhibit that talent. I feel this was an attempt to just quickly put out an album than to actually produce a quality piece of work. Anyways, to tie it all up, I think this album would be a great buy for someone looking to expand their library, but don't get your hopes up too much. This album may take a while to grow on you.
