Mart'Nália is one of Brazil's Best!, December 27, 2006

As a long-time fan of all types of Brazilian music, I can say that Mart'Nália is one of the best and freshest artists to come along since Bossa Nova and the Brazilian sound first hit in the '60s. Mart'Nália is the daughter Martinho da Vila and effortlessly performs the beauty and softer side of samba. Her music is very pure and simply fantastic. This CD is a compilation of her live concerts with the best MPB stars in Brazil today - (i.e. Djavan, Caetano Veloso and Zelia Duncan) - and of course her father is a guest as well. If you love Brazilian music or if you are even just curious about the best of what Rio and Brazil have to offer today - I give this CD my highest recommendation. Mart'Nália is a true gem - not to be missed!
