This is an Aoshima 1/700 scale assembly and painting required plastic model kit of the World War II era Imperial Japanese Navy aircraft carrier Hiryu. Model kit features: Waterline hull model. Flight deck aircraft included. Illustrated assembly guide in five languages (English, Japanese, German, French, and Chinese) and waterslide decals included. Aoshima is a Japanese plastic model brand that specializes in fine scale naval ship models. Aoshima kits featured highly quality injection molded plastic parts with excellent details. Overall, Illustrated assembly guides included in Aoshima kits are quite similar to Hasegawa kits with painting guide featuring Mr. Color paints but substitutes paints can be used as with any plastic model kits.

It arrived --all the way from Japan-- before the announced arrival date. The product was cocooned in layers of paper and bubble wrap and was pristine. The assembly directions are clear and easy to follow, At this scale painting and assembly will be tricky, but fun. I am looking forward to the finished model,
