This highly detailed Aoshima plastic model kit accurately recreates the apollo 11 saturn 5 rocket and lunar module, that put Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin on the surface of the moon in 1969. Taller than a 36 story building, the saturn 5 with its five powerful engines and over three million parts, was the largest, most powerful rocket ever built. This is a unique kit comprising a 1/400 scale saturn 5 rocket including four detachable stages, the launch pad and crawler and complete gantry tower with rotatable crane and three 1/400 scale figures. A separately displayed 1/96 scale lunar module with two scale astronaut figures is included. Complete decals and paint instructions included to complete the kit. Highly detailed combo kit of the 1/400 scale assembly model kit of the Saturn V rocket and 1/96 scale Apollo lunar module. The Saturn V is a multistage liquid-fuel expendable rocket used by NASA's Apollo and Skylab programs from 1967 until 1973, and it is the launching vehicle used to for the historic Apollo 11 Mission. The Saturn V rocket remains the largest and most powerful launch vehicle ever brought to operational status. This rare 1/400 scale assembly kit of the Saturn V rocket by Aoshima of Japan comes with detailed parts molded in white and red plastic. Parts to construct the three-stage Saturn V rocket and launching pad in 1/400 scale, as well as 1/96 scale parts to construct the Apollo lunar module are included in this kit. One sheet of decals for both the rocket and lunar module and an illustrated assembly guide in both English and Japanese are included.
