5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome Chair and Company
The chair came in right away. The assembly instructions were vague but the chair is easy enough to assemble. I noticed some rust on one of the adjustment pin assemblies and notified the manufacturer. Their response was awesome. That very same day they contacted me and once I provided the needed info they have sent the part via FedEx to me.

I recommend both...

I had a few problems when I received the chair. The first time it arrived it was badly damaged, taped up holes all over the very flimsy box. Once I opened the box to put it together I found mold on the carrying bag and several parts on the chair had been busted. The second chair I received over a month later, had arrived in the same damaged package. I called company and they pretty much refused to send me a new chair or get my money back. They wanted all the parts of what was damaged. So I ended up getting replacement parts. The first event that I took my chair to it broke. A lady about 250lbs sat down shifted her weight and the screws to the seat stripped and fell out. The chair is light and the face cradle is just not strong enough in my opinion.

This is a good chair for the money although I would have liked to seen clear directions on how to assemble it. It's a bit difficult to adjust the seat and head rest, but again without clear assembly directions I may be making it more difficult than was intended. Also, there was a patch of rust around a bolt and no explanation as to how the head rest is supposed to connect to the body of the chair. Delivery was quick and within a week of ordering.

I recommend both the chair and the manufacturer.

2.0 out of 5 stars confusing assembly. don't think it was built properly. The head rest does not slide easily into place., March 12, 2011

chair is comfortable but the instructions were vague. the only way to assemble the head rest was to pry off the plastic cap. and the velcro that prevents the rest from sliding down gets torn off when you slide it into place. Also moving the chest pad up means the head rest can't go down farther so people with short/long necks don't fit it properly.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great chair, great price..., January 21, 2011

I was looking for a spa chair to give my wife head, neck, and back massages around the home. The Aosom Rose 3.5 portable chair did the trick. The chair is very comfortable with plenty of padding. It has a sturdy frame that sets up quickly and folds up surprisingly compact in the storage bag. At this price I think this chair is a no brainer. This chair is even more comfortable than the one at my wife's chiropractic office. Note: Don't forget to purchase either the flannel face covers or the disposable face covers.

I am a massage therapist. I do mostly table massage, but wanted an inexpensive, reliable chair to use on the occasions when I needed one. After looking at a few, I decided to try my luck with the Aosom chair for $89 on Amazon.

Upon opening the box, I found the chair inside the included carrying case. The case was covered in mold - disturbing. I moved forward anyhow and removed the chair. It actually looked like it was going to be ok. Then I tried to assemble it. OMG...mess!!! The "instructions" were definitely not first written in english - in fact, they must have gone through several translations to arrive at what was left.

I resorted to the diagrams...fuzzy B&W shots that show nothing about what gets inserted where. After 30 minutes, I figured out how the seat must be attached - awkward at best. I'm not sure how it would support anyone of any weight on the higher side (over 200 - though the claim is 300).

After an hour and a half, with two adults with masters degrees trying to figure it out, we were unsuccessful in determining how exactly the face rest is supposed to be attached. There was literally no physical way to attach this face rest to the chair. Maybe a piece was missing(?)

And then there was the mysterious included allen wrench. No idea.

So, back in the moldy bag it went. Moldy bag back in the box. And it's enroute back to Amazon.

My lesson learned: name brand massage furniture only. I wish Amazon sold Earthlite or Oakworks (well, they do, but only from 3rd party sellers with high shipping).
