I bought this trailer to haul my dog and gear for a 325 mile bike tour.

I docked a star because the product I received has vented panels on the side rather than the plastic windows pictured. I was hoping for the plastic windows to keep the road sludge from getting into the trailer. It appears that the plastic windows were cut out and hastily replaced with vented mesh. The nylon is not the highest quality, but I'm going to apply waterproofing spray to it. The plastic window covers do cover the zippers, but the stitching holding the zippers to the fabric leaves a lot to be desired. I have had the zipper rip away from the fabric 3 times now. No big deal for me, I sewed it back together.

The attachment to the bike is a simple hitch that installs in about 3 minutes. The trailer pulls smoothly. I have noticed that one of the tires on the trailer seems to be losing air rather quickly. I replaced the tube and that seems to have fixed the problem. Even with my dog and gear (90 lbs total) the trailer pulls very smooth. I also added additional cross braces on the to support floor of the trailer. There is only 1 metal brace (between the wheels) the rest of the floor of the trailer is supported by a nylon band that caused my dog to bounce around and the floor of the trailer to sag.

I had a very difficult time finding the interior dimensions for this trailer. I've listed them here.
Interior Dimensions: 31" Long, 22" wide, 22" High

Bottom line: If you are handy with a needle and thread and want the largest and cheapest dog trailer you can find - buy this one. If you want fancy suspension and do-dads then buy the $400 trailers. It is a sufficient trailer for someone who is looking to not spend a lot of money and transport a large dog.

My German Shepherd has hip issues, hip dysplasia. He loves coming with... but cannot handle running or even long walks anymore. Frugah had the product for him! He is around 80 pounds and fits it the trailer with room to spare. Its also very easy for him to step-in and step-out... also important.
The trailer is very easy to assemble... very common sense to put it together. Really, it took me 5 minutes and that includes the time to inflate the tires. Instructions were not so hot... but as it turns out, you won't need them anyway. The trailer comes well packaged and basically folds out into the shape you see in the picture. There are two screws holding the top cross-members together and thats it. The wheels and hitch are 'pinned' in place. It is very easy.
I had to take it real easy to get my Shepherd used to riding in it. But we went extremely slow to start... almost walking pace. Short distances... and repeated about 5 days worth.
By the time I was ready to go for our first 10 mile ride he was ready to go! It was critical to start slow and take the time to get the dog used to getting in, out and riding in the trailer.
It is easy to connect the trialer hitch to the receiver mounted on the rear axel of the bike. It 'pins' in place and it has a safety strap clipped to a 'D' ring as a backup. Very well thought out!
The trailer pulls very, very well. The only time I feel it is going up hills or when my 80 lb shepherd starts to move around. Otherwise, it is no problem pulling the trailer at all. The trailer is stable... normal use will not tip it over.
I love this trailer, it works beautifully. The bonus... delivered its just a bit over $100... you can't find a better one for this price.

Too tall a profile, would be better if it had a longer dimension by about 8-10 inches.
Quality of materials is good.

From the moment I opened the box, I was amazed. The frame and wheels are heavy duty. Easy to set up (not joking). The material is a medium weight with mesh zipper doors, front and back. I have 2 terriers that could probably tear through, by digging at the zipper to open only because they know it's not metal and they are spoiled.
I have a Trek bicycle and took the connecting part of the trailer for the rear frame to be put on. That was easy for them, not me. The trailer is so smooth, turns on a dime, you wouldn't know it was there. There is a good distance between the trailer and bike. I use the trailer for my jack russell, as he can't go the distance my other long legged beauty can. I also want to share with people to be careful in over exercising your dogs. Check with your vet for what is a normal, safe amount and distance for the size and breed. Your dog wants to please you and will often not stop. My vet tells me many dogs result with an enlarged heart because they don't tell the owner, "hey, I need a break or that is enough" Also, if your dog is NOT a good rider, and digs at the mesh door, leash them inside the trailer with a harness and create a hitch from the top of the trailer tent. I already experienced this with my Jack. He is a pistol. If I hadn't been keeping close attention, he could have opened the door, jumped out and gotten hurt. I know exercise him first, (dah) and then put him in the trailer. After a dog has adequate exercise, they relax and are ready to enjoy the ride.
