It plugged right in to my ancient Neoware CA22 and quadrupled the storage for a very reasonable price. Very nice.

These things have limited application today now that SSD's are available. Normal flash memory has a limited number (however large) of times you can write to it.These industrial level disk on module drives should be like SSD's. I bought a 1 GB DOM to replace a tiny 64 MB one on an HP thin client. It was only good for RDP before that. But now it runs linux and since it has 8 on board USB ports makes a perfect bitcoin miner :) All under 25 watts.
I would recommend shopping around and make sure you are clear with the size of the DOM you are buying. I have seen units as small as 8 mb which might be mistaken for 8 gb. And these horizontal mounts fit differently from vertical mounts so make sure you know the space you are filling.
All in all this does exactly what I wanted it to do.
