The inner dimensions of the case are:
6" Width
6" Height
4" Depth

The outer dimensions are:
7" Width
7" Height
5" Depth

This case would not fit Nikon D5000 with the lens it is sold with (Nikkor 18-55mm). Other than that the case is exactly what I was looking for. Compact, padded, and comfortable. I wish I could use it for my camera.

This case works great for Nikon D3100 with Nikkor 18-55 lens. Bag looks durable and it's well done. This is why I like it:
-well padded,
- it has front and interior pockets for accessories such as additional memory card; outside front pocket will fit battery,
- there is attached but hidden rain protection cover,
- bright interior,
- detachable shoulder strap allows to wear the camera on the arm or messenger style; it is also padded with little plastic/rubber dots that help to keep pad in place,
- there is also attachment for belt on the back of the case.

Overall good quality and perfect for me as I wanted small case. The only minus is that it could be an inch higher to fit camera strap, but thanks to double ended zipper the strap can hang outside.
UPDATE: I attached the pictures; the strap also fits inside when folded.

The bag looks nice but it is too small to fit a Canon T3i with standard 18-55 lens and a camera strap. Since Canon T3i is an average size camera, the bag should not be advertised as "specifically designed to house your Digital SLR Camera". It's misleading.

I bought this camera case because I rarely travel without another bag, and I didn't want to carry a camera bag *as well*. I have this camera: Canon EOS Rebel T2i 18 MP CMOS APS-C Digital SLR Camera with 3.0-Inch LCD and EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS Lens

This fits snugly around my camera with the kit lens and polarizing filter attached (my other lens is smaller). I leave the strap hanging out and zip around (this lets me carry the camera by the strap with the case on it). I have the case clipped to the camera strap. If I'm just taking a quick shot or two I'll just leave the case attached to the strap, or I'll un-clip the case and put it in my bag.

It is *very* protective, and holds a surprisingly large amount without adding any bulk. I always have it carrying: an extra battery, compact charger, and an extra SD card. I then just stuff this in my back pack, side bag, suit case, or whatever bag I happen to be using. I don't have to worry about anything dinging or scratching my camera. I want to take my camera with me and I don't want it to be an ordeal.

Pros:
- Small, snug against camera
- Very very padded and protects all parts of the camera
- Works well with strap
- Fits in other bags
- Durable, expensive material

Cons:
- Probably won't work with a lens larger than the kit lens

Ordered this to carry my Canon T1i when I go out and don't want to carry a big bag of equipment with me. Fits perfectly with a 50mm lens attached. Pockets big enough for memory cards and extra battery but don't expect to fit much else in it. Strap is comfortable and bag provides adequate protection for a low profile design. Perfect for when I go out to eat and take my camera or just for a walk around the park.

I bought this bag for my Panasonic Lumix GX7 mirrorless micro 4/3 camera. The bag is an ideal size for the camera with the kit lens or a 40-150mm zoom, lens facing downwards so the camera is ready for action, plus a spare battery, memory cards & a couple of filters. It's well constructed with a sturdy handle & belt loop as well as a strong well padded shoulder strap. It's well padded & the zippers appear to be good quality & run smoothly. The built in rain-cover is a bonus. All in all I'm extremely happy with this purchase.

I have a larger bag to carry all my equipment. Sometimes, however, it's nice to have a smaller one for those trips where you don't want to lug around the whole thing (hikes, etc.). This bag works well for those occasions. It seems well constructed and fits my Nikon D40 with the stock lens quite well, and it can just barely fit it with a 200mm zoom lens -- but just barely. I;d give it one more star if the made it a fraction of an inch longer to get the larger lens in. Still a great deal though!

...this is a great little camera sleeve or small case for a dslr. It is compact and just fits the frame of a entry level camera such as a Canon or a Nikon. I purchased this case this week for a Nikon d5100 based on a previous reviewer. I thought I did my homework, but alas I didn't do enough legwork. The camera fit tight and snug inside, but wasn't deep enough for the d5100 with the 18-55mm kit lens. The padded cover when zipped, would touch and could scratch the back of the camera. I prefer at least an inch or so of space to allow for a small pad or cloth to protect the screen and back from the rough edges of the zipper when opening and closing. If you want a snug fit, take the time to get all the inside and outside measurements of the case you are looking for. Then compare them to the actual camera measurements of the camera you are using. Read ALL of the reviews that may mention something about about the exact camera you may be using. And don't rely on photographs that may show a certain size camera next to the case you are looking for. It may not fit properly.

So this thing holds a camera. It has pockets, much like my jeans do, in that they hold items essential for that holder. For example, when you where jeans you might carry a phone, wallet, and sometimes keys. That's because when you go out and engage the public you might need those things sometimes. Well, it turns out, that when you carry your camera around you'll need essential items like maybe an extra lens or an extra memory card like an sd, flash, or that other kind that's weird looking and in between the size of the prior two things I just mentioned. These items are essential when taking pictures with a camera. In conclusion, this thing carries them, ALONG WITH THE CAMERA! Well, I'm excited because I just realized that this thing holds way more than my jeans could ever hold. Who's the loser now, jeans?!?!

This case fits my camera Sony Alpha SLTA33L snuggly. With the 18-55 kit lens and a camera strap attached the case closes with some moderate (not excessive) effort. We tend to use this bag to put into a diaper bag when going to the park, etc. with our toddler. With a camera in the bag, you could maybe fit a few SD cards in there but an extra battery might take some creative measures and would be too close for comfort to the camera.

If you don't expect to take extra accessories with you or a large lens (kit lens works fine), this is a great quality compact padded bag for day trips. If you need the room, I would look elsewhere!
