The best hose I ever bought was an Apex hose. It is a light green, matte-colored, soft man-made material (sort of like rubber) that doesn't seem to be affected by being left outdoors for the last 5 years. I love it because it is extremely limp, but as limp as it is it doesn't kink or collapse. Yet it also has no memory, It is the easiest of any hose I have ever had to coil. When you lay the hose down even after being coiled for a year it has no memory of those coils and lays perfectly straight.

So when I bought this hose I was expecting more of the same. Unfortunately that is not the case. While it is a good hose it doesn't match the old hose in quality. The new hose is a shiny dark green hard plastic that is very stiff and difficult to coil. For example, if I hold the end of the old hose and start feeding it out of my hand, it will remain horizontal for only about 6 inches before it begins to bend down. The new hose can be extended for almost 2 feet before it begins to sag down. Thats a stiff hose! This is a very undesirable characteristic in a garden hose.

But it works as advertised. It will not kink from ordinary use though it will kink if you work with short lengths (<3 feet). Also it has a memory. So as it comes off the reel it remembers where it was coiled and there are all these loops in the hose as it lays on the ground.

Bottom-line: its not nearly as good as the older Apex hose but its still better than any of the hoses I bought at a hardware store. So I bought another. Too bad nobody makes a really good hose anymore.

P.S. If I didn't have the old Apex hose to compare it to, I too would have given it 5 stars.

It's very unusual to find a 130' hose, so that's a great plus right there, and the hose is extremely rugged and yes, it doesn't kink.

Definitely not a never kink hose. I purchased two of these and both have more permanent kinks than any hoses I have every used -- literally dozens of kinks per hose, creases which become permanent. They are even stored in closed reels.

Save your money and the headache of trying to water and constantly having to unkink this loser hose!

I've owned this Apex 130-foot hose for three months now and am very satisfied with it. The quality is good and the 130-foot length is exactly what I needed.

We went through 2 hoses from local DIY stores that kinked and split. Also, couldn't find this length.
This hose is working well.

This is a Great hose, does what it says and never kinks. Very durable. Even when completely tangled, it will not kink. Delivers good flow.

One of the worst hoses I've ever owned.

It should be called Ever Kink, or Always Kink.

It kinks like there is no tomorrow. Stay away, and you'll thank me.

While the advert. is for No-Kink, you can kink this hose if you really work at it. The hose is made of vinyl so if you need a hose for cold temps (50 F) go with a special low temp hose. For regular home use, this hose does not kink and is very easy to use. I would recommend it.

Found product to be as descibed. So far, no indication that this hose will ever kink like just about all of the previous hoses I have owned did, especially long hose being coiled back on to a hose cart. Also found Amazon's price to be the best I could find for this item.
