This television is almost worth it just for the price. You get lots of features usually available only on higher priced tv's. There are rear and side audio inputs, plus rear audio outputs. The picture quality is ok, and the sound quality is very good.

This is not flat screen nor does it have the the S-video hook up that some reviews have claimed. Although it has two speakers I cannot verify that it has stereo sound. Stereo is not listed with the other features on the box and is never mentioned in the instruction manual. I can say that there are no stereo AV inputs. If you have a DVD player or video game system with stereo output you'll have to settle for mono sound . Also, though there are two AV inputs there is only one video mode for both of them. That means that if you have a devices connected to each set of inputs only one can be on at a time or you'll get a distorted combined picture.
I hope all that hasn't put you off the TV. Depending on your needs it may work very well for you. Personaly I only need it to display a picture. I hook my VCR and DVD to my Amp for real stereo sound.

I recently bought this television because it was on sale for ... If you can find this tv [on sale] buy it but don't waste your money if it is regular price. It is a very good tv but the color is not the best (and you would think because it's a flat screen it would be better). The sound is very loud at 2 or 3 is all we have put it on so far but there is no control over the bass or other speaker output. Also the sound doesn't seem like it has surround sound like most tvs today have. Like I said it is great for a childrens or extra television but if you are looking for a family tv with surround sound, you might want to spend a few extra dollars. Also it has 4 outlets which make it very easy to connect a dvd and/or vcr up to, thats nice!

This is a great TV!!! tHE PRICE IS SUPER LOW AND YOU GET MORE THAN WHAT U PAY FOR. This TV GIVES U 3 INPUT JACKS TO HOOK UP, VCR'S, DVD PLAYERS, VIDEOGAME SYSTEMS AND MORE. THIS TV HAS EXCELLANT SOUND. I HAVE TO TURN ALL THE WAY DOWN TO 2 FOR THE VOLUME SO IT ISN;T LOUD. THIS IS ALSO MADE FOR A CHILD. iT GIVES U A PARENT LOCK TO LOCK ANY CHANNEL U DON'T WANT YOUR CHILDREN WATCHING WHEN YOUR NOT HOME. iF U DONT HAVE ANY KIDS U CAN TURN THE CHILD LOCK OFF. i was worried by some of the reviews,,,,ignore them, i took a chance and this tv has everything my panasonic had on it for 1/3 the cost and is a better tv, the sound is great, the three picture modes superb. i agree with reviewer who said buy it quickly before apex figures out what is worth, disregard any negative reviews this tv is the best.

A good looking TV with crisp picture and great sound. Easy on-screen menus and options. Very satisfied with my purchase, especially for the price.

I've read some criticisms here that mention a flimsy case or less than spectacular sound and I must agree that were this set to be compared with a high end Sony or even a similar Toshiba model, it would get mauled. However....for this incredible price, you do get a set that produces a crystal clear picture, offers adequate sound, features dual external inputs for your VCR, DVD, videocamera, etc., has very good on-screen menus and a most logical remote control. This is my 2nd Apex, and on the first one (bought 6 months ago) I've had no problems whatsoever. The truth is that once the Japanese ruled the electronics world, that is, until the Koreans came along and recreated the economic conditions that were found in Japan when their electronics industry was born. The Koreans now have lost a bit of their edge, as wages and benefits have risen there in that consumer-oriented economy. Now China is the newest bastion of this old economic model, and it would seem conditions are likely to improve there much more slowly than in Japan and Korea. If you don't care to delve too deeply into why their products are so much less expensive, you're likely to be buying lots more products in the coming decades that carry a "Made in China" stamp on them. (Chinese auto exports will hit the U.S. in 2005!) On the other hand, if you're a social activist, you might want to take a pass.

I just bought this set for my bedroom. For short [$$$] it's great. The color is great, and the sound is too. And with 2 sets of a/v outlets, it was easy to set-up my dvd, and vhs.

My boys use this television with their X-Box. The picture is great and the sale price was awesome. My son had been begging for a larger television to replace the 13 inch he was using. This woked out beautifully. Oh, and it had the right outlets to hook the games up to, too. All we had to do was bring it home and plug it in. There cannot be a better deal out there for the price.

This was a second tv to be used in the bedroom, but at sound level 1 or 2, it was very loud. I thought it may be my unit, but I saw others mention this...so this is not good for a bedroom tv.

The picture was wonderful, so my untrained eye thought.

The "off-brand" tv did not work with my universal remote given to me by Cox cable, so I had to use one remote for volume and one for channels...pain.

Dissapointed it didn't work and I sold mine a few weeks later.
